I deleted my earlier reply because after listening to most of their songs again, I think it doesn't matter. Their genre is definitely rock, though not the heavy kind. More of slow rock, even folk rock. If there is pop rock? I think the legendary Beatles fall under this category too. Hopefully you grow to like them as much as I do.
