- THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT POLISHING OUT SCRATCHING IN MY 1971 PA-28 CHEROKEE WINDSHIELD USING FLITZ POLISH. 1500 GRIT SANDPAPER FOLLOWED BY 2000 GRIT WAS USED TO REMOVE BLEMISHES. THEN THE FLITZ POLISH WAS USED TO CLEAR UP THE WINDSHIELD.

Plexicoat. It's an AeroShell product. That's what we use on that massive Bell windscreen...
I've been polishing the headlights on my car with a PC7424 DA polisher. Looks like too much product was used(I use 3"foam pads with just 3 pea-sized drops).
I would divide each of those windshields into quarters and use a DA on them. I'm not sure that buffer wheel set-up is getting enough contact to do the job.
I'm in the middle of the learning curve polishing the stainless x-pipe and mufflers on my car with buffing wheels and rouge compounds.
Best of luck!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
You need a buffer !
Which product exactly are you using? I was on their site and don't see anything about airplane windshields.
Flitz, I am sorry for the late reply. I just found the message.
@@airparklivin5460 So the paste polish on their site that is for metals, fiberglass, plastic, and paint is the one then? Looks to me like that's the only one.
@@davidlj3 yes.
Better results with an orbital polisher and safer.
