Most of these talking points are a good thing. However, I fear that the refunds for delays will inevitably create a myriad of safety issues. This will incentivize all kinds of shortcuts. Why not allow the free market to determine the effect of delays on the consumer? There are many reasons that flights may end up delayed that are beyond a company's control. This short clip gives no distinctions for cause. Regulate safety & maintenance of the planes themselves. Regulate the qualifications & circumstances that help ensure the alertness & efficiency of air controllers & flight crew. Let consumer choices send the message regarding the "on time" records of the various companies.
