My skincare routine for long flights! |

- Most people know, I despise an in-flight routine where you use makeup wipes to essentially NOT really cleanse your skin and also kick off loss of major hydration, so you’re starting at a negative. Instead, if you’re going to be on a long flight, try to pick an overnight and do most of your routine right before you go to the airport or at the airport before you board the plane. You can do a true double cleanse, apply your serums, and most importantly, moisturize moisturize moisturize. The airplane is so extremely dry, so do it before if you can, then continue to moisturize while on the plane.
For this ride, I could have skipped applying more, but I went ahead and disinfected my hands, applied a creamy retinoid from Geek & Gorgeous, a rich moisturizer from La Roche-Posay, and a lip balm from my brand @Naturium.
In the morning, I woke up and immediately applied a stick sunscreen from Kahi. Normally I would choose a more moisturizing sunscreen stick, but forgot to swap it out if my bag before I left. I don’t touch my face at all!
As soon as I get to my hotel, the first thing I do is hop in the shower!

Hi all! It’s important to point out, I DESPISE in-flight skincare routines. If it’s not a long flight, do your skincare before if you can or just don’t stress about it. I only care about being moisturized and wearing sunscreen if it’s 5 hours or less. This happened to be a long overnight, international flight, so while I try to do most of my skincare before I board, the flight is much longer, so moisturizer is really important. And of course, applying sunscreen the next morning before you land! Try to avoid “washing” your face on a plane and do it before so your skin is already moisturized when you board and then you’re just continuing to add moisturize! 👍

Airplanes dry your skin out, but I use Vaseline and call it a day. It's great for keeping your skin hydrated and very cheap

I’m such a germaphobe on airplanes. I got a synthetic makeup brush (less absorbant fibers) that I clean the day before and apply my skincare on those long haul flights. It’s the only time I use a makeup brush for skincare application because I am so not into touching my face on travel days.

@@briel7484 actually I asked, I always go on long haul flights and my usual skin care routine has a lot more than 10 steps and usually lasts up to 45 mins but I can't do that on a plane

Doesn't this surpass the liquid 3 fl oz limitation? 🤔 I'm always worried I'd have to throw things out from my check-in bag!!!
I believe you are confusing check-in bag with a carry-on bag. The carry on bag is the one you take with you personally on the plane. The carry on bag is the one with the 3fl oz rule. All the products in the video that she used are travel size, although they do look big because of the angle of her camera. They meet TSA requirements.
The checked in bag doesn’t go through customs with you and you can use full size products. The only major rule for checked in bags are to be under 50 pounds or you have to pay an overweight fee. The checked in bags are the ones you pick up at your final destination from baggage claim.

Even on a long flight, there's no way I'm touching my face. I usually don't even brush my teeth on an overnight flight because the bathrooms are so gross and cramped. I just suffer until I get to the airport!
I hear ya, airplane bathrooms are gross! But portable toilets are the WORST. Not that anyone would wash/brush in there! 🥴

I try not to!! I can’t stand it. It’s disgusting. Any flights under 5 hours, you definitely won’t see me touch my face (not consciously). This was a little different since it was an international flight, so it’s almost impossible to not acknowledge your skin for that long. 💪

Do not place your things on the airplane table! First/ business class or not. The table is the dirtiest surface in the entire plane.
