I really like how Soulbound allows AOS to become so detailed. Let the wargame focus on the big factions and Soulbound focus on the individual lives, I say. That would help establish the setting more and more, as even now its not exactly solidified for most people
Cubicle7 really did a great job of fleshing out this region of Aqshy in their core book for Soulbound. I really want to play through their Brightspear campaign at some point.
Im a bit late, I had to read trough the whole supplement myself first. As usual, great video! I appreciate that you held back some of the bigger secrets for now, so that people can explore the city themselves. One of my favorite parts of Brightspear is all the airtraffic. The large Highport, the gyroport farrying people around the city, and ofcourse the floating market nearby. I think Brightspear is a very interesting city that doesnt step on the toes of any already established cities.
I could see a Brightspear army being similar to one hailing from Hallowheart, so it'd be interesting to see what could be done with mechanics to differentiate them if we are lucky enough to get a Tome Celestial on Brightspear in White Dwarf.
Hey, that's very cool, just what AoS needs. I already know a group of people who run RP sessions on some homeruled system, but if we can get a legit book that would be so good. Gotta preorder that once I grab the paycheck 😁
Would be nice if GW actually worked with their licensees for once. FFG's RPGs were around for years and did an enormous amount of high-quality worldbuilding with scarcely a mention by GW. I know there are legal complexities involved but you would think both companies could and would write contracts that encourage cross-promotion.
@@AoSCoach The licensing requirements for both FFG and C7 make some degree of oversight and approval a given, but it never turned into cross-promotion in White Dwarf for FFG. Hopefully C7 has better luck. As you said, it would be nice to see Brightspear armies on the table in AoS with some official rules behind them for tourney play. Well, assuming the pandemic clears someday and we ever get tourneys again, anyway. Bloody 2020.
Things like this make me wonder what kind of city a group could think of for their own game. I know I have made some fun ones with the random generate your own free city charts they made like a year ago.

Dang last time I was this early dwarfs still had Cannons
Cannons? Bah. I want my flamethrower and bazooka teams back.

Great vid bud! I love the detail of the world building for some of these cities. You really bring them to life

Really really hoping we get some rules for Brightspear in White Dwarf

Rich McGee I can’t speak on behalf of FFG but I do believe there was strong collaboration between Cubic7 & GW to produce Soulbound.

Great video! One little note though is that Hallowheart is ALSO in Aqshy so Brightspear isn't really the first magic-based city in that realm.

Ever gonna talk about the battle of lost time?
Midgar from FFVII
"The Gays and Influence of the Dark Gods..." Wait, what? I figured Slanesh rolled like that, but...no.
What are you on about?
Gaze* friend ;)
He said GAZE, dude. What the hell is wrong with your ears?
@@H240909 I mean I think misinterpretation is quite funny
Gaze! Oh, cuz it sounded like he said Gays. Simple misunderstanding if you will.
