Okay so... Is it just me or does this song actually feel inspiring? It could easily fit into a more heroic plot, like if Sans took the role of the demon’s bane far more seriously, pouring his heart and soul into avenging his fallen friends. In the game, he’s just given up. He knows he can’t beat you, so he doesn’t really try. But what if he really had a reason to fight?
i read a fanfic, and this theme was called out as the one to play duting the fight, which, mind you, was one sans actually decided to truly give it his all.

Could someone explain what a rip is? I keep seeing people talk about rips on megalovania-style songs but I have no idea what a rip actually is and can't find the definition on google, or at least not a helpful one. Google says a rip is when you extract music from a CD, but I don't understand how that would link to megalovania.

We need more people like you. Toby Fox has said that Deltarune is going to take at least a few years to make simply because he doesn't have a team. But he does. He has millions of fans that create fan work that can help him. Like this remix, I'd love to see this in a boss battle, and Toby Fox could use it in chapter 2

Fine, here it is. 781964532 is the order of letter swap from Undertale to DeltaRune, so I just did that for the first nine letters of Megalovania and got “Vamnoalge”. I actually tried every dialogue option in hopes of triggering his fight. Personally, my view on this (wonderful) song is that it would actually fit in a battle against Papyrus. Yes, you're reading that right, I said Papyrus. Remember, this is Deltarune. Where things aren't quite the same as in Undertale. What if the reason Papyrus has so few friends in Deltarune (as opposed to being practically everybodies friend technically in Undertale (or at least a loveable goof), is because he's actually very dangerous and Sans is basically trying to make sure people he knows will be safe with him become friends with his Bro? Now why, you ask would that mean this is a song for fighting Papyrus? Simply put, unlike Undertale's Megalovania, this one packs a bit more punch, it, quite literally, like its inspiration, Rocks your Emotions. Picture this: You've just killed Sans, and Deltarune Papyrus comes across the scene and goes absolutely Berserk, fighting you to this tune, and he ends up being a fight that is leagues above Sans. Voila. We end up with yet another Deltarune difference. A world where things are the same, yet different. In Undertale, Sans is the more powerful loving brother, protecting his playful, albeit not very strong brother from being hurt by others. In Deltarune, Sans is the weaker sibling, protecting others from being hurt by his more powerful Sibling. They're the same, yet different, an anagram of one another. A Perfect Fit, wouldn't you say?

Sans has and always will be, the true hero of Undertale, we just have yet to see him in action in Deltarune.

Could someone explain what a rip is? I keep seeing people talk about rips on megalovania-style songs but I have no idea what a rip actually is and can't find the definition on google, or at least not a helpful one. Google says a rip is when you extract music from a CD, but I don't understand how that would link to megalovania.

We need more people like you. Toby Fox has said that Deltarune is going to take at least a few years to make simply because he doesn't have a team. But he does. He has millions of fans that create fan work that can help him. Like this remix, I'd love to see this in a boss battle, and Toby Fox could use it in chapter 2

Hmmm, I wonder about that. In Undertale the Player always attacks first, however in the Sans fight, Sans attacks first. Also, if you look at the definition of a megalomaniac that definition fits Chara much more than Sans. Basically, Megalovania wasn't Sans Theme, it was yours. It was Chara's. Our character in Deltarune also happens to look like Chara. idk, it could come back exactly as is.

When I first came across this ca 2 years ago I downloaded deltarune and started playing in hopes of actually finding sans and fighting him to this. I actually tried every dialogue option in hopes of triggering his fight. Today I once again decided to search this up to see if there’s any instructions or footage on how to fight sans in deltarune and i realised that this is a rip.
It was used in a fan game for the currently non existent surface genocide route for deltarune

Deltarune might not have a megalovania yet, but I would imagine he will add it in to one of his later works. After all, it is pretty much his signature by now.

It's not, and has never been, merely Sans' theme. Toby uses it in all his work, somewhere. He did the Homestuck soundtrack, and gave this theme to Vriska. He made Earthbound Halloween Hack, and gave it to Dr. Andonuts. Both characters are very different from Sans.

Also, Toby Fox has said that Deltarune was just a side story, and the clues left in Deltarune don't ad up UNLESS we're talking about an AU (like, Alphys and Undyne don't know each other, so it couldn't have been set after the pacifist ending, but Toriel already hates Asgore, so it couldn't be happening before they are sealed underground)

Personally, my view on this (wonderful) song is that it would actually fit in a battle against Papyrus. Yes, you're reading that right, I said Papyrus.
Remember, this is Deltarune. Where things aren't quite the same as in Undertale. What if the reason Papyrus has so few friends in Deltarune (as opposed to being practically everybodies friend technically in Undertale (or at least a loveable goof), is because he's actually very dangerous and Sans is basically trying to make sure people he knows will be safe with him become friends with his Bro?
Now why, you ask would that mean this is a song for fighting Papyrus? Simply put, unlike Undertale's Megalovania, this one packs a bit more punch, it, quite literally, like its inspiration, Rocks your Emotions.
Picture this: You've just killed Sans, and Deltarune Papyrus comes across the scene and goes absolutely Berserk, fighting you to this tune, and he ends up being a fight that is leagues above Sans. Voila. We end up with yet another Deltarune difference. A world where things are the same, yet different.
In Undertale, Sans is the more powerful loving brother, protecting his playful, albeit not very strong brother from being hurt by others. In Deltarune, Sans is the weaker sibling, protecting others from being hurt by his more powerful Sibling. They're the same, yet different, an anagram of one another.

Sans has always been the symbol of hope, as he was the undergrounds last line of defense, where everyone's hopes and dreams depended on sans, being the last hope of the surface (aka the entire world) the hopes and dreams of everyone on earth depended on sans to save the world, and keep in mind, in deltarune, your LV only goes up in the dark world and never in the light world, with this battle taking place in the light world, that can only mean kris has killed off almost every single monster that kris could find, so it only makes sense that sans is the one to bring a end to it all. Sans has and always will be, the true hero of Undertale, we just have yet to see him in action in Deltarune.
