Firstly Deb, thank you for not only this tutorial but the tip for making a backing board from cardboard, the magic eraser is a good tip too. I had never thought of putting the grain down first for wood. DUH! You are always an inspiration.
You are so welcome, Alicia! Thank you for being such great viewer. And check out my new site - watsonwatercolor.com. I'm moving all my lessons there and adding new ones!
Glad it was helpful! I'll be posting a new video for the next eight weeks for my in-person lessons. You can get the lessons free, with handouts, at watsonwatercolor.com/
What a terrific video, Deb! So clearly explained and demonstrated and with such a great variety of really useful techniques! Thank you very much indeed.
Hi! I just found your channel and I love your teaching ❤ I wanted to ask you if you would consider doing a cloud video , but dark and stormy? I'm trying to do one but need help! Thanks!

Thank you so much, Jake. I like to reuse things and have a lot of students so that backing board comes in handy.
Brilliant you make it look so easy. Thank you xx
You’re welcome 😊 My students did quite well with this, although one had to redo her background as it was too light.

Great suggestion! I'm doing fog next week, but I could do stormy clouds the week after. Check back in two weeks and you'll see stormy clouds.
