I know, right? I've been listening to this band for the past six months non-stop. It's all I ever listen to anymore, and I love it. Very few sounds out there that can compare to Thrice. It's the most pleasing thing for my daily stress. It empowers me with a certain degree of boldness every time I turn on an old mp3 player that I found inside a second hand corduroy jacket, and hear Vheissu playing.
Like what Cortez did or not you can’t deny it was absolutely bad ass. Dude arrived at a completely unknown place with 600 men and had so much confidence he ordered his men to burn the ships.
Bro I think he just was younger at that time, or maybe not enough smoking back in the day so that tone in his voice became more and more raspy just with time, after this album. I think that album is the best example tho where we can hear the gap/evolution of his voice becoming more raspy (and better imo) but is still younger etc. But I love his voice here on that album as much as I love his voice nowadays. Just love that freaking band from beginning to end (Ps. sry for my bad english maybe, I'm german)
