PG: Terry SG: Duncan (or Highsmith if we need the boost in defense) SF: Jimmy PF: Niko C: Bam I don't think Tyler is good enough to be a full time starting PG. Maybe in a few games stretch if there are injuries, but he's not that great of a playmaker nor a good enough ball handler to shoulder that responsibility for an entire season. Coming off the bench could potentially allow him to play a bigger facilitator role against weaker defensive pressure. IMO contract notwithstanding, with the way the team is currently constructed, Tyler is best suited off the bench with Jaime and Ware (assuming he's NBA ready). That's the starter level bench team that could keep the game from getting out of hand when the 1st unit sits.
Herro is better suited to play against reserves. Theres no question in my mind having him come off the bench would improve our offensive numbers! Terry, Jimmy, Niko, Bam & Ware is the lineup that I want to see. Niko improved his defense a great deal last year has size has handles and can stretch the floor. He and JJJ are the only uptempo guys from last year. Theres a direct correlation with our pace and offensive rating or lack of offense! We do not get out in transition as much as we could and Spo's pickle headed azz needs to make that a point of emphasis! Jimmy & terry is a better defensive backcourt than tyler terry! Niko, bam , & ware would dominate the glass allowing for more 2nd and 3rd shot opportunities which thereby increases our scoring! If anyone has a better idead for a lineup I have yet to hear it! Lets go heat!
I'd prefer PG: Terry SG: Duncan (or Highsmith if we need the boost in defense) SF: Jimmy PF: Niko C: Bam Terry and Tyler are both bucket getters but Terry's superior speed, playmaking, and ball handling give him the edge over Tyler as the defacto point guard IMO. Tyler has improved as a playmaker, but he's still not good at getting past his defender without needing a screen and is still more turnover prone than Terry. Duncan's off ball abilities and general gravity makes for a better overall fit with the starters even though Tyler is also a great shooter. Duncan is also pretty good at finishing at the rim something Terry and Tyler both struggle with. Duncan also works REALLY well with Bam. Highsmith turned into a consistent 3 and D player last season so if we need more defense in the backcourt, he probably the best choice to pair with Rozier. Highsmith is probably our best point of attack defender so we could have him guard the best perimeter player on the opposing team. He's a good shooter, albeit on somewhat low volume, but it might be enough to keep the defense on their toes if he increases the volume. So if starting Duncan with Rozier doesn't work, I'd stick with Highsmith as the SG. Niko as of now fits better with Bam on offense. Neither Ware nor Bam shoot (or project to shoot) a lot of threes, which would kill the Heat's ability to space the floor for Jimmy. Also having Ware as the backup solves an even bigger issue than needing a defensive rim protecting big with Bam, needing a decent/good backup big that could hold the fort when Bam sits. Without that we're stuck with Niko (who's not a center), Love (who's good for a few minutes of playtime at this point in his career), and Thomas Bryant (who's been subpar so far in his Heat tenure). Tyler, Jaime, and Kal'el (assuming he develops well) would be a great starting-level trio to either hold or strengthen the lead when our starters sit. Tyler and Jaime operate in different spaces so there won't be much overlap (unlike Tyler and Terry), and both can be a nasty one-two scoring punch with Jaime getting into the teeth of the defense while Tyler launches three bombs from distance. Kal'el would not only anchor the defense (assuming he gets used to playing against NBA level bigs), but would also be an excellent lob target for either Jaime or Tyler.
@@frankboi08today on shit I say based off feelings and not the measurable facts 💀💀💀💀💀can you say “I don’t like the fit because the players don’t complement each other” - sure I can’t argue against that but to say herro is a turnover machine isn’t just wrong, it makes me question you objectivity I looked it up herro has a 10.2 turnover rate, greater than 2 assist turnover ratio. Elite? Absolutely not but absolutely not a weakness to single out
@@MrMoarpienao if you read correctly, I also mentioned he was "inconsistent" in shooting. So I didn't single out anything if multiple things were mentioned🤔Defending Herro is disgusting to me, so I'm going to overlook what you said completely. He hasn't lived up to any hype, especially with what he's getting paid...Jacquez came in and instantly made an impact as a rookie. Niko will for sure. Looking forward to seeing Ware make an impact alongside Bam.

The Heat are running it back with the same squad… good luck with that one. They barely made it out of the play-in tournaments last season and the East got a little tougher in the off season.
I'd prefer they start the same lineup they had during the second half of last year, and if the backcourt tandem of Rozier and Herro dont mesh, then you make the change diring the season. It's not like Duncan or Highsmith Drive and take shots in the reatricted area. Duncan is also a poor defender, so it's not an upgrade from Herro.
Thats all the more reason to move Herro to the bench and start ware next to bam niko terry and jimmy imo. Strengthens the backcourt defensively, adds size, paint protection and versatility on both ends of the court! Niko also pushes pace which is a major weakness Spo cant seem to figure out how to resolve!
@Clayton_Bigsy I see what you're saying, but in a tight eastern conference, we can't afford to start a young center. I think it's better that he earns the backup spot. Once he's holding his own against backup centers, then move him in next to Bam. With Jovic, we have a chance not to play as small as before when we played a 6 ft 5 Caleb at the 4. So we can afford to let Ware work his way into the starting 5. If Jovic is balling out, Ware may need to wait till next year to start 😀
If they're gonna start Terry&Tyler then the the offense needs to be ran thru them, have them constantly coming off screens making jimmy and bam the handoff guys becoming 3&D or lob threats. That would make up for the guards weak defense, jimmy Jo and Bam could save more energy for defense. They already run a Pace&Space style, but spo never priorities personel.
