*"Are you telling me you actually have friends?!?"* lmao Rasa has no chill. It gives me goosebumps; Rasa seeing how his son has changed from being a "cursed child" that he attempted to kill SIX times, and who was a jinchuriki filled with nothing but loneliness and hatred. He became Kazekage, he became loved and respected by his people, he made friends, and he even earned the respect of other fellow Kages like Ohnoki. Gaara really has come such a long way.
Funny how Rasa (Gaara's dad) thought the way to judge Gaara's worth as a jinchuuriki was to anger him by taking away his perceived love from his mother, when we just learned from Naruto and Bee that the whole way to be a successful host is to have something precious. Gaara's precious thing was taken away, and it caused him to immediately go on a rampage. His father really was wrong about everything, poor Gaara could've been a successful host if his father hadn't interfered.
This moment also shows the kind of person Gaara truly is at his core. Even after everything his father had done to torment him, in the end, Gaara found the inner strength necessary to understand forgive his father. That takes a lot of inner strength, to forgive someone that you once feared and hated. Gaara is a true diamond in the rough. Sunagakure is incredibly lucky to have him watching over and leading them.
In case you dont know, the face tat/scar Gaara branded himself with means "love" representing the literal idea of _Gaara_ = "the demon only loving itself"
It's a big statement for Gaara to prove to his father that contrary to his numerous assassination attempts and belief that Gaara couldn't handle Shukaku's power, Gaara was able to become a powerful, kind and fully functioning human being without him, to the point of succeeding him as Kazekage, all by simply having a positive influence in his life. While Gaara's dad did hit a savage burn with 'you have friends!?' the real meat is the fact that Yashamaru his uncle did indeed care for Gaara, as did his mother, and only wove the story of them hating him at the cruel behest of the father. At the very least he owns up to it, so Gaara gets some closure
Gaara took his father down way too quickly. I was expecting an exciting fight like the ones against the other previous kages. I guess it is what it is... No wonder he was killed by Orochimaru.
the dad was resisting the reanimation and was therefore defeated quickly. he died because he was ambushed by orochimaru, kabuto and the sound ninja 5, which includes Kimimaru, a top-tier shinobi.
I think too that his dad SEVERELY underestimated Gaara. Literally said he failed to see his worth. So he probably assumed this was a no brainer and didn't anticipate how strong Gaara has gotten since becoming Hokage. Could be wrong, just my interpretation of it :)!
There are some things coming into play here, that making this fight so short: 1. His father didn´t actually wanted to fight, he is resenting that reanimation jutsu as much as (most) the other reanimated characters. They just want their damn piece in death 2. He simply underestimated Gaara and didn´t go full force 3. After learning how far Gaara has come and how much he has changed he lost even the last bit of will do fight back/ admitted defeat
@@Xbitxx He killed innocent women, children, elderly people. Uchiha that weren't necessarily in on the plan. He tormented Kakashi for what seemed like an eternity. Which he had no reason to do. He told Sasuke he didn't have enough hate, which made him leave the village and his freinds behind. He also told Sasuke to kill his best friend. Then goes on to say how much he wished Sasuke had a great life in the village, after doing that to him. Not to mention showing Sasuke how he killed their parents, over and over again in a genjutsu. On top of that, his dad tells him that he's such a great person, right before he kills both parents in front of Sasuke. Itachi is a walking contradiction. His personality and goals, doesn't match his actions.
So gaara was next kazekage after his father... there was that 2½ year time skip so when did Gaara become kage? When he was genin or was the village without kage for x amount of time unlike in leaf they straight up get new hokage when something happens to current one.
Sorry this isn't related to Naruto, and I know this is late, but what happened to the Re Zero reactions? Why is there nothing past 2.14? I've been going through them recently.
I personally love getting more backstory like this. Learning that what Gaara was told was a lie 100's of episodes later is insane.
Absolutely! Gaara is a top 3 character for me so having that incredible development for him was such a treat!
@@Allonsyyyy it still just gets better from here
@@Allonsyyyy interested in knowing ur top 3 now. Im guessing one of them is guy.

Best boy we love Gaara 😍
This for me was one of the most memorable episodes in Shippuden even years after I finished it. 😊
Gaara is a very special character.
He's up there with Shikamaru as Naruto's greatest friends... Gaara is indeed very special :'(

I just received a medicine to my heart from this episode ;)

Good guy Kabuto letting them talk to eachother.
One of the best character transitions was when chiyo did that she literally did a 180 from her original personality and views on things.
Gaara vs Rasa was one of the fights that should have lasted longer. It had so much potential.
True but the conversation they had was necessary and very beautiful
This was a great episode. Maybe a bit more backstory than necessary but it kinda works here. Gaara has had some superb development.
Madara bout to be dancing in a few eps

This fight was too short I agree.
But Orochimaru killed him by an Ambush. And his sand won't protect him unwillingly like Gaara's.
you act like orochimaru is fodder or something

Shouldnt golden sand be stronger?
Gaara is in my top 10 but top 3 is exaggeration 😂 make some room for itachi kakashi and naruto
its not an exaggeration its their opinion
Itachi is trash. Kakashi is top tier, but i'd put Gaara above him.
