007 Goldeneye 007 Reloaded is a first-person shooter video game featuring the character of British secret agent James Bond. It is a modern reimagining of the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye as well as a remake of the 1997 video game of the same name. Although Pierce Brosnan starred as Bond in GoldenEye and was featured in the original game, subsequent Bond actor Daniel Craig's likeness and voice are featured in the new game. The plot has been modified to match the style of the first two Craig reboot era films, 007 Casino Royale and 007 Quantum Of Solace. The game's story is set in between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.

I gave the Original Version of this game to my son as a Christmas Gift in 1997. He spent the entire day playing it. What a great Christmas!

Got my copy of Goldeneye 007 and my Nintendo 64 for Christmas 1997 myself. Being both a James Bond fan and a gamer, I played the game a ton that day and beyond. Really enjoyed the remake version as well.

It’s cool they remade a more modern approach of Goldeneye but the OG still reigns supreme.
I can't believe this remake exists. I actually bought an n64 and game cartridge right around the time this was being sold, just so I could relive GoldenEye.
Have you ever tried using an emulator? I've been using them since high school (2004). But I recently found a stable Neo Geo emulator, with ALL games!! I have an emu for the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Turbo Gfx 16, N64, and Neo Geo. Anyways, if you like retro gaming, they're pretty cool to have.

I can’t believe you make it seem like as if it’s the worst remake for a video game ever, and for you to say that isn’t cool at all. It seems to me that this version is perfectly fine and awesome too but just not equal obviously. The only thing I just like more about this version than the other on N64 is the stealth in the missions and how badass they are because the way the stealth was in the N64 version was kinda lame.
@@jcrocky I meant I would've bought this game instead of buying both an n64 and goldeneye, had I known it existed at the time. But after watching the full video, it's clear this isn't a remake of goldeneye at all, so that sucks. N64's controls are alot worse than I remembered.
I played this on wii when I was around 11. One of the highlights of my video gaming childhood. Thank you for the nostalgia. Take me back to more beautiful times..

This is amazing for a ps3 game. It has aged so well in 10 years. Really hope the new bond game in development is like this.

Daniel Craig is an awesome bond but if they used pierce Brosnan and the original Alec. That would of been even more satisfying to watch

Watch yes but not to listen. Accents are horrible despite the fact that Russian voice actors are no longer locked behind the Iron Curtain.
Unfortunately, Pierce's contract as JB was up, and he couldn't be used in place of Craig. The Bond franchise has pretty strict stipulations.

This is, in my opinion the best bond game. Don’t get me wrong the original N64 goldeneye gives me loads of nostalgia, but this game made you feel like bond.

Everything or nothing is the best for me, even lets you complete missions with Bond Moments and has gadgets. This one is not bad but I feel its too close to CoD and that alone makes it lose some its charm gameplaywise.

I love how there's very few parts of this game where you outright have to be in a shootout. A lot of it gives you the choice of stealth or action, and it makes it more varied because of it.

Very tough ending,(thanks to this, needed where to be when that last helicopter turned up) finished today after buying it for a few quid for Christmas. understand how anybody couldn't finish. Brilliant game and so much to replay especially those 4 star missions which are rock hard to get more than 1 star

I feel bad for people growing up with Daniel Craig as James Bond. Daniel Craig doesn't act like James Bond at all. Daniel Craig keeps getting caught in villain's traps and he seems like he's always one step behind and always getting out of trouble. The real James Bond is always one step ahead and makes the villain look stupid. And the real James Bond is supposed to be a tall dark and handsome lady-killer. Daniel Craig is just a stereotypical action movie guy. It's so dumb.
And how about the fact that this game doesn't even get the story right. What they did to the story is what Daniel Craig did the james bond. For the first mission, Alec was never present during the first part. James Bond did all of it. And Bond never tried to parachute off the dam, he bungie jumped off. It shows it in the goldeneye movie.
This game is so stupid I cannot believe they changed the already written story of Goldeneye. SO. STUPID.

Did you know that one of the writers of the actual goldeneye film rewrote the story to bring it upto date for Daniel craigs bond? Craig also helped with it aswell

The best part is the voice acting, so lively and it doesn't sound like they're really bored talking in a recording booth hoping they're done so they can leave.
This has to be one of the best movie tie-in games of all time, and it's one of the best Daniel Craig bond movies at the same time.
Daniel Craig wasnt bond in Goldeneye. Thankfully as Craig is a shite actor.

It feels weird that I grew up on the N64 Goldeneye and seeing people here having big nostalgia for the Activision version here. This is definitely not a bad game and it's more of a reboot/reimagining of the N64 version.

I never played it for any console, but for the Wii. Because of the Wii's backwards compatibility with the GameCube, on the back of the case some Wii games will tell you could play with GameCube controllers. This is one of those games that let's you do that.
Nah, it's more of a poorly done Call of Duty clone with weak graphics (as of 2011 and mostly because of a not-so-great assets modeling and texturing). Nothing special, really. Stealth is meh, guns feel nerf and sound meh, no moments that will really make you feel like Bond. Hand-to-hand combat is okay.

I used to play this game every single day on the Wii when it came out
Also a composer who worked on two bond films done the score for the game and James bonds film producer pitched the game to Daniel Craig

I recall playing this back in the Wii days - it still looks decent today, and I hope it gets a fresh release with a more modern remaster on the switch - I will defo buy if it lands there.

Don't have high hopes - the HD version was regarded just as a poor CoD MW clone with Bond theme on it. The Wii was treated better, praised as having good graphics for this console and very good controls.

I’ve just starting playing this on my Xbox 360 again recently and I am having a blast on it and am having fun with unlocking a bunch of achievements that I haven’t been able to unlock before at all since I first played this when I was younger 11 years ago which was 3 years after it came out and only unlocked about 3 to 5 achievements at time since I only beat the game on the easiest difficulty where I didn’t get killed as easily as I would in the harder difficulties and didn’t have the optional objectives. If I’m being really honest, this is probably my most favorite 360 game if not my most favorite game of my childhood. This brings back very very good memories and even though I know this isn’t better than the N64 version or the movie from 1995 I still love this game a lot and the stealthy missions is what I really loved about it and I wish I could play custom stealth missions on it right now and If I’m being more honest I wish I would’ve been able to play this on Xbox Live a long time ago if only I would’ve been allowed to have it at the time but the servers are for sure dead now since this is a forgotten game from 14 years ago that deserves to be playable on the Xbox One and sadly never had the attention that it deserves :(( i’ve been a 007 fan my whole life and I’m happy that I’ve played the N64 version before I played this one because if I would’ve never played the N64 version first then I probably would’ve thought that this “Reloaded” version was better and not to mention I actually watched the movie after playing the N64 game first and when I first found out that there was movie of the game on N64 (when I was around 6 to 7 years) I was blown away and loved every second of the action I saw with Pierce Bronson who will always be my favorite James Bond and Daniel Craig is like my 2nd favorite since he was cool too and it sucks that they had to kill him off in No Time To Die (which btw I never actually watched but might someday) so r.i.p to Daniel Craig’s character who he sadly won’t get to play again even though he’s getting old anyway. I also wish they would’ve remade Goldeneye in a movie with Daniel Craig in it and exactly like this game but changed up a little bit so that it wouldn’t have been like playing the game all over again.
The only thing that bothers me (quite a bit) is that they used Craig instead of Brosnan for this game. Goldeneye without Brosnan doesn't feel like Goldeneye. I wish someone made a mod to replace Craig with Brosnan in this game.
While yes I generally agree with you that Brosnan would have been better, because Goldeneye just isn't Goldeneye without him, I can at least forgive the use of Daniel Craig because at least he still IS a valid Bond.
However, leaving out Sean Bean as Alec is just unforgivable.

This game is pretty tough tbh, the enemies are relentless and take a good few hits to take down. Also felt Bond would go down so easily like after a few hits. Blown away by how good it looks , genuinely impressed

NO, it's more like that Halo and Call of Duty/Battlefront/Battlefield has an 1990's original N64 GOLDENEYE kinda of skin. 😉 Best bond story ever, and the Multiplayer for the original still is epic.

I remember this when I was around 9. I remember the whole game it's one of the only games I've ever fully completed. I'm repurchasing the game to play it through again and I remember the last2 scenes very clearly. It took so long to beat the last part.

While nowhere near the impact it had compared to the original, this is a fun game in its own right with a great campaign. Still never understood why it got so much hate besides for being similar to COD. It has a better campaign and polish compared to most games nowadays lol

This is literally not goldeneye. I don't see how they got away with this. The N64 Goldeneye actually follows the real story exactly. This game doesn't even come close.
The sound design in this game is amazing.

My dad bought this game for the Wii when I was young and I played it for hours. Always got stuck on the Helicopter bit because I didn’t know you could get the phone out 😂

Man I remember playing this game as a kid, it was the first time I'd seen those slow mo entry scenes. Always loved this game, think I might go back and play it again.
I'd be so down for a remake of the remake lol. Seeing the Damn first level compared to N64 Goldeneye is pretty incredible as well.

They keep remaking this game not realizing that much of its original success was simply due to how innovative it was back in the 90’s. What Goldeneye was, is pretty much standard to most 1st person shooters making not really all that special for a modern game… Outside of nostalgic appeal.

You’re exactly right, but the only thing that actually does makes this version any better than the N64 version (in my own personal opinion) is the atmosphere in the stealthy missions and how badass they are. Yes, I’ve played and beaten both versions myself so don’t fucking talk shit to me and try to tell me that I don’t know what’s good in the older game and what’s not in the newer game or whatever the hell because I already know, period.
