In a way Hideo Kojima bought bad omen onto himself.
He kept saying he wanted to be done with MGS franchise since MGS2! He was pressured into make the other games.
He didn't want to become a 1 trick pony and only make one style of game (which became his legacy).
Unfortunately he was too good at his job and his other passions suffered but in some tragic twist of irony he now lost the thing he had a love hate relationship with and is now missing it.
