It was a "this could be the case" type deal. Steak was giving Invisibility all throughout the episode, but in the demonstration literally two seconds before we saw Dev eat Kelp, it gave Blindness.
I think it was random and not what was repesented

you guys should ask sharcraft to make a plugin that makes the speedrunner invincible. they turn red, take knokback and other effects like that but they don't actually take damage

I'd really like to see a rematch because that felt like such an anti-climatic ending. That being said, though, you should probably remove Instant Health and Instant Damage from the pool. One is a "you're dead instantly because you experimented with the game's mechanic, goodbye" food, and the other is a "death ain't got nothing on me and there's nothing you can do about it" food, both of which seem like they would be bad for this type of game mode overall.
Instant damage does 6 hearts max though
@@balancemaster55 They're statuses which are coded to deal damage or heal you each tick (at least this is how it works on 1.16, I can't speak for newer versions of the game).
To achieve a once-and-done damaging/healing effect, the status must be given to the player for exactly 1 tick, no more and no less. This is how all vanilla items which give either of these statuses function including potions, tipped arrows, and probably more things.
What we see here, however, is not coded by Mojang. Every status in the game resulting from SharkCraft's twist is being given to the players for 30 seconds, and none of the status effects seem to have been given an exception. This means that Instant Death doesn't just damage you for 6 hearts once and done. It would damage you for 6 hearts once every tick for 600 ticks or until you die.

Also, the reason why whales in Minecraft are a bad idea is because the Minecraft oceans are too small for them to move properly. And that's gonna stay that way until oceans become 1K blocks deep (so with 99.9% certainty forever).
