with what you said about the single system, this is a special single, just like chungha's killing me. it has a choreography and a music video but it's not promoted on any music shows as it's meant to be a gift for the fans. chungha had always put a lot of love and care into the music she makes. i really loved how she said she wanted to put out a summer single for the fans so she worked on algorithm really quickly to release it. she cares about us first and we really don't deserve her.

This song is so special because firstly it's a gift from BEP to Chungha and then there's an Uhm Junghwa collab. Also, chungha is hinting going back to roller coaster roots with this one. After doing all sorts of genres we can expect an old school Chungha song for her new comeback!

Algorithm is a super fun dancey song and I also love the humour in the video - the ALGORITHM photos (like the trend of people pretending to be VOGUE/ZARA models) and the silly tiktok dances, not to mention the staff that badmouths them behind their backs (Gabee is such a character 😂). I agree about the comparisons with Uhm Junghwa and I honestly hope for a collab in the future. Chungha just recently featured on a song with Lee Eunmi which was so unexpected, but it's a very fun funky/doowop(?) song (Move Remove). She can do so many genres, it's amazing. P.S. who was the DJ guy? is he a musician or another celeb?
I think the DJ was just a model tho me & so many other ppl who saw the MV thought that he looked familiar😂 And SO SO TRUE ABT HER GENRE DIVERSITY!!! You're literally the first person I hv seen talking abt "Move Remove" on YT 😭 It's so fun & so GOOD!!
Honestly this song was a bit too much bubblegum pop for me, although admittedly it is pretty catchy, and I love Rollercoaster! Maybe some added complexity on 2nd chorus and verse could have saved it. The outro/bridge was so good though, I wish it had a 3rd chorus that took some notes from the outro.
