My impression of this routine is that it is aiming to be remembered as "timeless." It's trying to go beyond being defined by the colour of a medal from a particular year. Sure - being a new routine, there are some parts that need refining. What new routine doesn't need refining? It's funny how someone compared this to the 2008 team that competed in Beijing. In 2008, the Italian team knew that they would be in a great fight for a medal. And they aptly chose music from "Gladiator" to represent their indomitable spirit. Yes - they missed a medal and ended up being in fourth place. Is their 2008 routine still magnificent to watch today? Abso-fuckin-lutely! With this team, they seem to represent an Italy that is rising from the ashes, standing tall, and moving forward. That feeling is very strong here. I can't wait to see a more refined version of this routine. I wish these girls success in Tokyo. If all goes well, their programme will (hopefully!) be much more remembered, and much loved, than whichever team wins the gold.
I have never seen anything like this before from this team. So accurate, so designed for the music, so moving and fast yet a delicate and precise athletic gestures. It probably may not get those girls an olympic medal, but it got us for sure a refined work of art. Congratulations for what my eyes saw as one of the masterpieces crafted by this fearless group. Chiacchiere da bar. Chi pratica sport, chi pratica ginnastica ritmica, chi sa quanta forza ci voglia (non per niente ti alleni 9 ore al giorno per 2 minuti di perfezione), supporta. Senza dare classifiche. E' imprevedibile la ritmica (come lo sport in generale ma anche la vita), vinse una medaglia la Spagna inaspettatamente, non capisco perchè l'Italia debba sempre essere etichettata come medaglia di legno o sfigata di turno in queste competizioni. Quindi davvero con il cuore, non parlate di classifiche, non fa bene a nessuna ginnasta, a tutto il sacrificio che c'è dietro a quella che voi "riducete" (in senso buono) al nome di "arte" e al movimento stesso.

At 1:20 the music changes very dramatically and I do not see that. At 1:58 it explodes, and again I don't see that. If only they could highlight these things more, I think this would be a masterpiece.

I think they must add the difficulties if they want medal.. Coz all the team from another countries was going to that matters right now, Russia has showed many elements in their routine in other to get more marks, also Bulgaria, Belarus, and China,..my favorite team was Bulgaria and I hope they will become the Olympic Champion...
