The most common problem we see with returned Power Commander is damage to the wiring harness. If the Power Commanders' wiring harness is cut or nicked by the frame or sharp bracket it can short to ground. Once this happens a number of symptoms may be present, overly rich running,etc....😅

How would one go about finding such damage?
I had my bike in for a service, including adjustment of the valves and ever since, my bike has run like shit.
I just got the call today from the mechanic that it's likely the PC that has gone bad. But the issue only happened right after they serviced it.

@@Mikkel111 what kind of bike do you have? Power Commander requires excellent fuel delivery 100% of the time, if you have a bike with an internal high pressure fuel filter built into the pump housing that filter is the root cause of 90% of motorcycle problems, power commander can't function properly and neither your ECU in the balance of air/fuel when the high pressure fuel filter is clogged or partially clogged which is usually around every 3,000 miles where it begins affecting one or 2 cylinders during low speed load applications which in turn will damage your crank bearing of each affected cylinder.

@@natvega1 But wouldn't that issue become worse in higher RPM? If the pump can't flow enough for low RPM, then it certainly shouldn't be able to pump enough for high RPM.
      It's a GSX-R750 K8.

@@Mikkel111 you have to see the filter for yourself for that bike cut open, the more you open the thottle the more amps your pump will consume and push the fuel threw the top of the filter, the junk sits at the bottom of that internal paper filter, the force of your pump at high rpm will force the gas threw the top. Remove your pump, fill the high pressure filter with any kind of injector cleaner like STP and let it sit for sevral hours, then with an air compressor blow out threw both intake and outlet and you'll see the blockage dirt. It gets clogged around every 3,000 miles. Also your injector screens, they are very cheap to replace. So you can see there are 3 filters, #1 sock mesh pre-filter, #2 internal high pressure filter, #3 injector screen filters and when any of these 3 are the slightest bit dirty your power commander can't command the way it should. Regular use of STP fuel injector cleaner works well but every few thousand miles you must drop the tank and disassemble your pump.

@@natvega1 That sounds odd. I've never heard of anyone doing this and it's not been done to my bike in the past 7000 miles.
It also seems like weird timing, as this was in no way an issue before the service and the very day I get my bike back, it's idling bad and has terrible low RPM stutter/misfire.
Mechanic said the issue went away when the PC was disconnected, so he ordered a new PC.

Mine does the same thing after removing the battery for the winter. I think the power commander lost the tune.

I have the same issue. I unplugged it and bike was running fine. It’s got to be a short in the harness 💁‍♂️.
