    Gen 2 definitely has more dynamic range and the pics seems sharper. Thank you for the comparison.

      Yes! Decided to keep Gen 2 even if it is noisier than Gen 1. Not a bad trade-off. Could be better, but not bad at all.

    It’s crazy that you only have 6k subscribers and your video is pretty good!
    I am thinking if I want my Christmas gift to be a Polaroid go 2 because I love the nostalgic feeling

    Excellent video, you're one of the only people I could find on the site doing a detailed A / B test like this. Good pics too.

    Great video!! Love all the details in this review.. I have a huge Fuji Instax camera collection.. and I have just 3 .. Polaroids, I have the go, the now+ and SLR 680 which I adore. I love instant cameras because it’s a tangible memory, I like to also take photos of stranger and then give them back. The people love the photo and hopefully it sparks someone to get into instant photography as well.. have a great day!!

    Thanks for the photo comparison. I’m thinking of getting a gen 2 as they’re not badly priced. It makes me think of when me and my friends in college used to cram into the photo booths on free time and get group photos done. Good memories and a nice vibe to the colour. Funny how outdoor shots feel much cooler in tone and indoor really warm. Like Kodak gold but it has the yellow tones dialled up to 11.

      Yes. It’s quite an interesting piece to play with. I love how easy it is to bring around and how fun it is to look at and use!

    Oops, you've mixed up the first 38 seconds side by side videos. Gen 2 is on the left and gen 1 is on the right. The difference in aperture shouldn't lead to lighter photos. The gen 1 compensates for the smaller aperture by using a longer shutter speed. Meaning it's easier to get unwanted motion blur in darker scenes.

    • @kikaykrafts
      @kikaykrafts  4 месяца назад +1

      The difference in aperture on fixed lenses can lead to brighter pictures and/or more detailed ones as the machine can record more of the image that way. I agree that there’s a lot of science behind taking photographs - which is why I enjoy this science-meets-art hobby. The compensation Gen 1 makes might be good for photographers who like their images a little dirtier, true. Some people prefer cleaner images with more detail.

    amazing comparison... no major noticeable difference worth me buying another one. staying with my dark gen 1 photos lol

      @kikaykrafts  5 месяцев назад

      Yup. The difference isn’t so striking that Gen 1 owners get pushed to get the Gen 2. There IS a difference, of course. It’s just not that big of a difference (yet).

    Did you use flash for all the picture?

    Gen 2 lens is sharper, Gen 1 photos are sort of blurry like out of focus.

      Very possible. Possibly also noise?

    I bought the Polaroid go Gen 2 last week my first Polaroid purchase ever. I bought it for my son who's 5 years old for a camping trip I experimented with two packs of the film myself send it back and got a refund the very next day and then the very next day after that bought an Instax mini 12 and its night and day better my 5-year-old son can take good pictures with it. Polaroid just needs to go for a higher ISO film. As a children's size camera but a kid could never take good pictures with it

      📸 Getting a camera that best fits your purpose is always a good idea. Instax is quite easy to use, especially for children. I was not aware the Polaroid Go was designed for children. I believe that it was meant for enthusiasts and photographers who enjoyed experiences and experimentations.
      😊 Glad that your son is enjoying his camera. I got one for my own when he was that age.
      📸 Happy captures!

    Nice video! Ill stick to my Gen1 Polaroid Go then 😂 Prolly just get a silicone cover if it’s still available

      @kikaykrafts  5 месяцев назад

      That’s a good idea too, if you have a Gen 1 already. If it’s going to be your first Polaroid Go, then going straight to Gen 2 is good due to the same price point. 📸

    This 902 views review gave me more info than any others on YT. This is the comparison I've been searching for. I'll go for the Gen2 'cause i don't own the previous one and i like the more contrasty look 😊 thank you so much 😊
