Anti-mobility field was rough there! WP
Thank you!
WP, anti-field stopped a lot but to finish top 2 is something to be really proud of.
Thanks! I'm happy with us coming back to get 2nd place after a pretty bad start
So this is like battlerite royale but good?
now looking at the vod, do you think there was any way that last 2 could have been played better positioning wise? i feel like jumppad into top right would have been better positioning.
or was it not positioning diff and moreso a comp diff? there was a huge disadvantage in poke when accounting for the terrain that renders your bishop/brall/elluna useless.
meanwhile they have myth/zeph to constantly poke which has a much lower CD than kingpin hook.
or maybe the positioning was fine? it was just land hook or lose? how do you feel about the comps between the last two teams?
they have celeste which I can only imagine has the most impact with the pressure it gives when the circle becomes so small
what was the win condition / counterplay in hindsight?
We had the better positioning, they had to push us. But we messed up the teamfight and they played it well.
There are tons of things we could've done better:
If I had realized there was an anti mobility zone, I would've gotten my ult off and potentially gotten a big punch.
I also barely miss my first punch, but if I had hit it, I would've killed Lemur and gotten Myth down to 50% HP.
We had a lot of powers which didn't do anything for the last fight. Could've saved nuke for their Celeste ult engagement. Could've set up more and better Chonker canons. Could've picked up an extra Sandwall and Creep Cloner to help with the final fight. We also should have stuck closer together instead of splitting in 4 different directions.
We had opportunities to set up jump pads and poke them as they fly over and potentially spike someone before they make it over the wall.
I could keep going, there are so many things we did wrong in the last fight, which could have turned it around. Celeste is very powerful and it gives them a good adavantage with their engagement in such a tiny circle, but we had plenty of opportunities to counteract the ultimate.
But as I said they played it cleanly and set up good jump pads of their own to counter us in the middle of the last fight, preventing our Brall from focusing anyone down.
I wish I could play this fight again for practice, but I believe we had very good chances of winning if we had played better. I somehow tend to choke in these final fights, because it's extremely rare to have a teamfight in such a tiny circle. I tend to do better with space, when I can kite a little, but that wasn't an option here.
what a game, that last teamfight was claps. Such a shame one can't just log onto the game and play.
I wish I could play more :( I miss the game
@@Teldo I didn't get to try it out yet, but this will be my major squad game for sure
@@tanakathecowboy Oh, I hope you get in for the next playtest then!
i didnt realize anti mobility was actually that good until now
It's quite strong especially in such small circles. Unfortunately it does not work against Joule currently though.
ggs but man, that endgame looked so insanely cheesy already & the game isnt even out yet
Fair! Games are slow, but I don't know if you can design a Battle Royale to fully prevent that. I think there are still plenty of interesting fights and rotations happening.
Isnt that the point of testing? To fine tune things
Is this new or old footage?
It's new. From day 8 of the nda drop playtest
