I do focus stacking in photoshop by right click and selecting edit in > open as layers in photoshop. Is it worth getting NEO? I sometimes get annoying soft artifacts with photoshop stacks.
I have a lifetime license for Helicon Focus. I also have all Topaz apps and Photomatix and Aurora. It seems that Neo is trying to be a replacement for all of them. I will have to reevaluate all of these if Neo is actually competitive.
I guess with Neo it gives you the opportunity to get up, stretch your legs and go get a coffee, where with PS you have to get right back to work in just a few seconds :o)

does LR give this focused photo a designation symbol
If you're going to leave LR to focus stack, why not PS. Been doing this is PS for years with no extension.
