In my experience orochi is still very susceptible to light parries on his dodge attacks and the kick is fairly easy to spot (just look for the ub indicator on dodge forward). Gb beats the jumpier orochis against dodging a lot and it doesn't hurt to throw a gb after they finish a combo. Most of all dont be thirsty for parries. I haven't had too much an issue with him, raider on the other hand is my kryptonite.
Honestly after playing Orochi with the new rework i want the old Orochi back, everyone just kicks and kicks and kicks and light spam now it gets annoying.
This goes to show that no matter what you do, there will be those that are unhappy. Not saying you're just complaining though. I think the only thing wrong imo is that he can do a follow-up after whiffing the kick.

A Orochi recovery after a kick is insanely fast you could do so many deflects because the recovery with the kick it’s just that fast so fast if they dodge the kick they can’t guard break you out of it if the kick is wiffed you could recover within normal Dodge and you could just Spam kick over and over without following up with anything and there’s basically zero ways to punish the kick unless you’re playing black prior and you can follow up with any attack off of the kick such as storming rush and so on

By no means is he overpowered but its just the 4th unpunishable bash in a row that we've had, shug, aramusha and kyoshin before orochi so it's just getting a little dull. Definitely spammable so I understand the frustrations because if you have a move that can't be punished, why would you use any other attack, it's why shugs only headbutt. You can't parry it so it's super safe ;)

I haven’t played For Honor since Orochi’s first “rework” Orochi was my main and they rework killed all interest in playing the game. Perhaps this one will be more tailored to how I wanted Orochi to play

You not supposed to be able to land that deflect after failed bash you can tell by the animation it looks jank and buggy especially if you deflect the left side after failed bash
Kick is cheap addition, kick should be part of storm rush, it makes way way more sense that way both visually and gameplay wise and it simply would fit better
Lovely how Ubisoft just with one sweep ruined my absolute For Honor idol and probably the best For Honor player in the entire community with this shitty rework. I love Nova King so much and I feel like I just got really good in this game thanks to him but now I feel like I'm losing respect in his Orochi skills since this character simply.. Doesn't take any skill anymore. This hurts my heart tbh. Thanks Ubisoft.

Mastering the new Orochi is easy. The question is…how do you play against one?
