John Wick was the first movie I saw with actual gunplay smoothly integrated with martial arts (most impressive fight was in his home when he took down one guy, shot another through his display shelf, and went right back to offing the guy he had pinned.. not sure if any sequence since was quite as impressive for me in regards to martial arts done at a high level with gunplay), hence the terminology, "Gun-Fu" coming out of it. I was really happy to watch John Wick 4 where they had Donnie Yen actually using guns along with his next level Wu Shu and MMA movements. The big question for me here is whether or not Ana can integrate her learned martial arts movement with firearms at the same level that Keanu was able to.
Why is Winston recruting her in the first place? Who was her father? She seems to have the motivation, rage, anger to become what she was design to become. John showing up is to mentor her, there is a difference in her posture many time in the trailler. I feel the trailer is misleading us in the time event happens. I am very curious to know the full story, but really why is Winston walking in a police station to recruit her?
This looks like it could be a promising franchise. I still wonder why Halle Berry didn't get her own, especially since she was a fan favorite in chapter 3? Maybe a scheduling conflict?
