SupposedlyMel Sounds exciting but I don't think I'll ever be able to adapt to characters who aren't played by the casts of PLL/GG, I haven't ever since I watched the first series. I always new that Dan was Gossip Girl. Even though they tried not to avoid it, the first episode gave it away for me anyway. However I think that I only knew because I've seen almost every teen drama under the sun because I've been watching teen dramas since I was literally 4 years old, so I have a really good feel for where a show will go and I'm really good at picking up on hints and foreshadowing that others may miss.

Im sorry but the writers did not know that dan was going to be Gossip Girl until the final season; and that was obvious. The whole "we changed the scene cause it was reviled" is their way of making it not seem so last minute like it was. And till this day that will forever be the second most worst decision Gossip Girl writers ever did (after making Dan and Serena end game) was to make him GG herself.

The video is kinda boring, not gonna lie. Too many Dan/Penn Badgley facts and zero to no new information. You could have done a way better job to be honest! But nice to see that GG is still somewhat relevant as a show 🙂
honestly there are way more interesting facts about gg than those they chose... i have to admit i would have been happy with someone else being Dan Humphrey, i don't exactly like Penn Badgley. I don't think he's that good when it comes to the emotional stuff especially (i'm not saying the other are stellar actors, but some are better, especially with angsty stuff, he was just awkward, he has this... scowl or whatever i can't stand). and honestly who cares that Blake and Penn were homeschooled together? and i mean when they were promoting the show, it was ALL everyone was taling about. Fact #2 is dumb... because at this point theu didn't know who gossip girl was going to be, it's pretty obvious... just like they didn't know in 2x25, it's just happy coincidences (or not happy in that case, it was just an unfortunate one). And honestly... are there people who actually only watched the show just to discover who gg was? they must have been disappointed because honestly there are SO MANY moments where Dan is basically working against himself or reacting on his own (which is something Penn-i-hate-everything-gossip-girl Badgley like(d) to joke about... to me it starts making sense in season 6. because at this point they must have discussed it. (or like the end of the seaosn 5, if you take off the fact that dan reacts on his own to the extract of blair's diary HE posted.)
i do think dan being gossip girl makes sense contrary to many people, but honestly let's not try and pretend they've known from the beginning. honestly making Dan and Jenny both be gossip girl would have explained the surprise of some posts... BUT they didn't even do that, they just adressed gossip girl telling everyone about jenny losing her virginity,when we had seen that in the episode (easy j).
and honestly i think putting a little more time in finding good moments to put in the video can be a great idea... just saying
