This is like Christmas. Has it been tested on that wide group of symptoms before? And so happy for you that your tinnitus has been lowered! That’s great! If there’s a cure the suffering of millions would be solved.
The other group had some participants with dysacusis and loudness hyperacusis. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a cure.

Looks very promising, hopefully you can contribute to research data so this product can come to market soon. I know it's not a miracle cure but it seems better until what's available now. We need a commercial device and large scale scientific proof.
I wonder what kind of sound you used, I find it quite difficult to precisely pinpoint my own tinnitus sound. Does it have to exactly match or will any sound do?
It's gotta match. Depends on the patient and their confidence in pinpointing their tinnitus frequency. The somatosensory modulation frequency matters as well imo. @@msmit5591
@ OK clear, any idea what happens if by accident you mismatch? Will it worsen / generate tinnitus?
Depends on the patient, but the treatment will likely be much less effective.
Ideally you want this to be a self help device used in a home setting, but listening to the amount of knowledge you have to have about electrode placement and such I can't image this will be the case soon. Once it's commercially available the treatment will only be done through an audiologist.

today I learned that I have a hearing loss -60db in the 6000hz range. I have had tinnitus and hyperacusis for 10 years and now distortions. I don't know if I will be eligible for this device but it's a very, very good step forward, well done !!!! 👍

There is hardly any discussion around software. Will it possible for you to give some idea how software part looks like or synchronized with hardware.

Thanks for the kind words! As Susan Shore herself has said, tinnitus is tinnitus. It should work as long as the sole cause isn't mechanical (impacted earwax, Ménière's, Eustachian tube dysfunction, etc)

@TinnitusLabs At the beginning you mentioned you can’t call your device DIY anymore. Did you make any changes to Susan’s treatment protocol or timings in your device?
My trials will have a different, stricter protocol. Timing will be changeable as well.

Sorry for all the questions, but curious do you believe that longer usage of the device (past 6 weeks) would lead to more of a decrease in the sound? Bc I already know using it longer likely leads to longer-lasting plasticity during washout but curious if it would continue helping with the actually T loudness

What are some signs that someone will be a super responder?
It's been quite random. I assume a balance of somatosensory co-factors without severe cervical/jaw issues messing up the SP5 stimulation. No or minimal hearing loss as well.
I have some mild hearing loss (about 15dbs), both ears, in the 2 to 4hz range. I also have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and tmj, both of which I just started to have treated. If i clench my jaw, I notice the ptch of the ringing go up somewhat. Will the Susan shore device work for me? Maybe? I know it's for somatic tinnitus so just grasping at straws...
Yeah, it should. You don't have terrible hearing loss and your tinnitus is somatic. Keep treating your jaw issues.

Did you have multiple tones with your T? How did you sleep?
The guy has an iron mind, he has always said that he has 0 anxiety about his T. The most important thing to know is that it's not the tinnitus that stops you sleeping, it's your reaction to it that does.
