What a guy. He did the song to support Conway, bodied his damn verse, realized he was bodying too hard, when back rewrote, still bodied his verse.
Pretty sure the actual version was released during some riots and em didn't want to stir shit up with diddy to make it another black v white thing. So he redid his verse. Then this version leaked and diddy made it a divisive black v white thing.

I think that "big wheelies (Willie's) get popped" bar is a shout out to his small beef with will Smith too. Back on his track 'The real slim shady' he said "will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records, well I do, so fuck him and fuck you too" reference to Will Smiths- Big Willie Style album. Could be a reach. But I can see the connection considering he is running back thru all of his former beef/diss tracks on this

One of my all time favorite artists. Super creative and had bars and his music actually made sense and had a message. Dope underrated artist for sure

I think at some point you have to stop thinking just because an artist is on a song with Em, the artist is going to body it or should body the verse. That isnt going to happen every time and as soon as you get that through your head, the better. This is around the time Conway first went main stream and he stayed in his lane on this track. If I am being honest, I am an EM fan and Em killed his verse but I always felt the beat switch in the revised version and the verse itself did not match the song and switched the tone in a way that it was out of place. It didnt work for me overall. Now the original version works more and he should of stuck with that but I have a feeling he also wanted to chill on that revolt section of the verse.
No I don’t have to change the way I think just because you disagree with it. Bring your best shit on a track with Em or I’m gonna be disappointed in you. Plain and simple.
If You have the chance to do a verse with the greatest rapper off all time then it should be one of if not the best verse you ever write.
