My cousin dated a guy from South side Chicago. He did very well for his life though he made it out of the ghetto/hood and got his self together, but the problem was he loved going back to visit his family and a lot of his family have that gangster mentality. My cousin went to visit his family for one Thanksgiving literally half the night were gunshots. She told me she had a conversation with him after that night and asked him if that could be their first and last time going there ever. He was very passive with her and basically told her that’s his family and he will never turn his back on his family. She wasn’t expecting him to turn his back. She just didn’t want to go there anymore to visit. He said no and if she doesn’t accept coming, they’re not gonna work out. When I tell you, she broke up with him and ran so fast it wasn’t even funny lol😂😂😂. We were so happy because for obvious reasons that relationship was not gonna work out.
