I get the feeling that a lot of new people will find this video now that we're nearing Valentine's Day - I truly hope this video helps you make an informed decision about flower purchases for your loved ones! I also wanted to take the chance to address the most common comment I get on this video, which usually reads something like: "It was unreasonable for you to ask for the flowers AND a refund." All due respect to the folks saying this, but they're wrong. And the reason I know that is because, you know... they gave it to me. In fact, they gave me TWO flower orders, because that was the only way they could offer me free stuff as an apology when they kept screwing up over and over again. Yes, at first I WAS told they wouldn't offer a full refund and also make a delivery. But I figured out pretty quickly that they didn't have an official policy, so I kept leaning on them until they agreed. And it turns out, saying "You missed Valentine's Day and made me look like an ass to my fiancée" can go a long way. If a company is this bad at the one thing they try to do, you literally have nothing to lose by asking for your money back and something physical as a form of apology. And if their "policy" changes depending on who you talk to, then they don't actually have a policy - they just have bosses who told them not to give anyone their money and a free delivery. If you're willing to play a little phone tag and stay on hold for a while, you can get those bosses on the phone and maybe, just maybe, get them to make an "exception."
I sent a sympathy basket of flowers to my mom & family, and they came a day late but they are absolutely beautiful, my mom loves them, My experience was really good!
It really depends on what florist they contact in your area. The only people that get scammed are people who live in an area where the florist have terrible flowers.
Kicking myself in the butt for not looking at the reviews before ordering... My future mother-in-law, who I am trying so hard to impress, was supposed to get flowers today for her birthday. Guess what never showed up... Thank you for making this video and for the email and phone number! I will definitely be using them. Even though it was a pretty bad day and your video was on a horrible experience, it still put a smile on my face seeing what you were able to accomplish. Thanks again for posting!
Happy I can help! Hopefully your mother-in-law understands, but just keep pushing From You Flowers to give you what they promised! (And maybe get another order of flowers from someone more reputable while you wait, because it could take a while for FYF to figure their stuff out - just don’t tell FYF that, and let them keep working on fixing things for you.)
This business is what we florists call order gatherers. They never touch flowers. It is a room full of computer operators, answering your calls, sending orders to florists like me. We get 50% of the amount of the flower arrangement. They don’t send us a delivery fee. They keep that. So what you, the customer, receive is a flower arrangement that is much smaller than the one you would have gotten had you skipped the middle man, in this case it’s From You Flowers, and went straight to the mom and pop shop. The shop would have gotten 100% of the order, and your flowers would have been bigger, prettier, abd all of this back and forth screw up crap wouldn’t happen. Deal with florist directly. No 800 numbers, no top advertisers. Call a shop with a physical address and phone number in the city you are sending flowers. You will be happy you didn’t have to deal with these clowns who are ruining the floral business and you are the one paying for it.
Have used this service twice, once in Colorado, once in Ohio. I can assure you if you do not provide very specific details you will have issues, if you do everything right - there's no issues, I did have a few issues but nonetheless they did arrive (sadly a day late). The customer service wasn't the best, but there was one in particular who went above and beyond to make sure my roses made it.
Your experience doesn’t sound that different from mine, aside from the details. I also put in all the correct details, my flowers did eventually arrive (several days late and after several phone calls), and I had only one customer service person (out of several) who put in the work to make sure I got my order. That really seems to indicate a pattern of behavior. They’re not good at their jobs.
@@MichaelTChristensen oh they're horrible, your average person wouldn't have went through the links you and I have. After roughly 4 - 5 different reps yesterday, I ended up with someone named "Luca" - he seemed to be the only one capable of the job. As like you, my issue was they emailed me saying "Your flowers have been delivered", but when I checked the tracking via UPS, it said "Delivery has failed due to mechanical issues"...mechanical issues, I'm sorry what? And each time I called, all the reps "reassured" me the flowers will either arrive or have already arrived. Turns out (thank God I kept calling) the flowers weren't delivered and the "mechanical issue" was incorrect information provided by From You Flowers to UPS. Eventually, Luca provided the correct information to UPS and the flowers made it, a day late of course as in tradition. Like I said, your average person would have assumed the flowers made it without ever checking the tracking only to be embarrassed to find out they did in fact not make it. I couldn't stress more to keep telling From You Flowers this is the initial step of my surprise to someone and I can't carry on with my plans without the flowers arriving. Which brings me to your video, since I thought "am I the only one who has issues", when it turns out we have identical issues in a way. Glad you figured everything out, definitely going with a local florist or paying a little extra through another service.
Exactly! Even for me, From You Flowers ended up going through 1-800-Flowers to get the delivery to me, so if I’m in a situation again where I can’t reach a local florist, 1-800-Flowers may be my best option, they seemed to do their job well.
Also to your comment about there being no tracking number: Flowers are not typically delivered via USPS, FedEx, UPS etc. They are delivered by small mom and pop shops that have a small team of people making and delivering the arrangements. Some shops have a delivery confirmation system that will notify the customer via email when they have been delivered but tracking numbers aren’t really a thing for most flower shops. I don’t mean to come across rude but I come from a family of florists and it seems like there is a massive lack of understanding when it comes to how the retail floral industry works and it in most cases this lack of consumer understanding is at the expense of the consumer and the small business flower shops. :(
My mother ordered what she thought was a little xmas tree covered in roses for my AUNT'S FUNERAL for 75 +, and what arrived was a cheap 20.00 tree with 4 gold sprayed pinecones on it from outside of the grocery store nearby. She was yelling at them on the phone and they said they would refund her? HOW CAN THEY BE IN BUSINESS THIS LONG STILL DOING THIS TO PEOPLE? SO THEY ARE STEALING MONEY DUH. I HOPE SHE GETS THE FULL REFUND ... WAITING TO SEE HOW THIS WILL PLAY OUT.
I've used this company several times, and it worked perfectly. However I understand you didn't get your order as promised, but how are you asking for a refund and STILL GET A FULL ORDER? Come on bro!
Never believe a company won’t give you a refund AND complete the work. Companies aren’t your friends. If they mess up, hold them accountable to finish the work and refund you for the inconvenience. That’s why From You Flowers agreed to it. That’s why they’ve done it several times, as you can see in the other comments and on the Better Business Bureau. Because it’s not an unreasonable request when a company screws up this badly. They just don’t like doing it. But companies aren’t your friends, and they’ll only improve their service if we prove that there is a financial downside to screwing over so many people with their service. Once they learn that lesson and improve their practices, they’ll stop handing out refunds because they won’t be justified by their poor performance. But until then, we don’t let them say “no” when they miss famous flowers days and then lie about delivery timelines for 36 hours.
Right, this dudes a clown. He says "Companies aren't your friends." Sounds like a real entitlement issue here. As a business owner (in an unrelated industry) I would have apologized up and down for my error and given you two options. 1.) Allow me to make good on my service the next day with no refund and a possible upgrade. 2.) A full refund and no services rendered. Certainly there are less than desirable companies out there that we should choose not to deal with, we do our research before doing business; hence the reason I'm here and the reason I've checked this companies reviews on other platforms. Because of the companies poor track record I'm choosing not to do business with them, but this whole "You screwed up so I deserve to get something for nothing" reeks of entitlement and is the symptom of a larger issue brewing in American these days. We live in a free market society. Go start a business and make some money instead of complaining that companies aren't your friends.
I was going to order flowers from them but wanted to know how much shipping costs, they told me they needed my credit card numbers first and then they could tell me the shipping cost and grand total after. I’m like…”ugh…no. Goodbye”. Now after seeing several scam videos from this company. This just confirms that something fishy is going on w the company. Glad I didn’t order.

Since our final order was delivered by 1-800-Flowers, they are who I would go to next for a last-minute delivery. Otherwise I would encourage using smaller/local stores when possible, since if you coordinate with them directly, you will probably have a better experience than going through a middleman like From You Flowers.
