The beat is deceptively simple it's 4/4 and it's also written in syncopated triplets so actually 3/4 or 12/12. Nice groove it was only the melody where I could feel it.
This song is beautiful, but I wish they had done a little more research on their southern folklore. Haints are of the Gullah people in the Carolinas, not Alabama.
