Here we have a quick look at the new Farish class 90 then a few running clips to follow, featuring my newly finished Caledonian sleeper rake in Scotrail livery
Recently bought the class 90 virgin and very pleased with it, it is much smoother than any other N-gauge engine I have. Great to see you back, more video's would be nice, but I guess with work commitments and family life it must be difficult.
I would love to be releasing more videos and I definitely shall be once my stock work is all finished, these 90s are incredibly quiet and smooth Woking, Farish have done a great job here
@@greatdeltan6556 I know you managed to knock up your temporary layout in a weekend but by most standards I’d argue your progress on this layout is very quick! 😂
Nice running session. Got the orange freightliner 90 and just ordered another one for my container consist, great looking loco and agree with you they are a good model. Nice they modelled the different buffer arrangements on the freight versions to the passenger ones.
@@greatdeltan6556 oh yes I do want 90s on the layout, I just shelled out so much lately, need to recoup and possibly. Think they’ll be around for a while
Hi Dan - great running session - love those gentle sweeping curves. Think the orange Freightliner version may well end up on my layout ! Look forward to seeing further updates on your layout. Cheers Euan
They've certainly got some pulling power ! I'm considering the G&W Freighliner/InterCity ones myself... I have the old RES , Railfreight, Virgin, EWS and Freighliner tooling, and these seem quite a bit nicer. :) Also, nice to see some stock running again :D
I'm fairly new to N and kept telling myself I didn't want to spend more than £130 on a loco... then Farish released these lol Gonna get a Virgin one next week and hopefully some matching coaches. Sourcing a DVT is the frustrating part at the moment, though.
@@greatdeltan6556 Actually decided not to get the 90 yet but I managed to find a DVT in the meantime lol Also wanted to say that I've been following your curved platform tutorial - works really well!
Having got a load of the original farish class 90's ( about 45 of them yes I am going for the full fleet 😂) it is a huge improvement of them . I personally think bachmann should have done it years ago 🤔 I have brought 2 up to now and really impressed with the level of detail and the running of them especially with the valance actually been part of the body and not the bogies .
Yes I've seen the photos! It'll take sometime to upgrade all those, I do agree that the 90 has been massively ignored by them in recent years, let's hope we will see some retooled 170s or 91s in years to come
@@greatdeltan6556 agreed but would rather prefer a updated class 87 to continue the WCML feel 🤔 ( hint to bachmann 😉) although with the 91 I thought there was a plan to bring one out with another manufacturer
I don’t know what it is about this layout plan but I love it and I def don’t model England. You knock it put of the park. I do enjoy passenger trains on my layout maybe that’s what it is. Great job as always. Are you going do be doing anything with moving vehicles like a freeway or etc? I found my faller car system vehicles that were packed away and now that’s what I’m considering fitting in on my layout and when I do I will do a video. Thanks for posting. Tyler Smith
Thank you very much how nice of you to say, I had initially planned on adding Magnorail to this layout as I did with my older one, I'm still debating that one yet
@@greatdeltan6556 there is no way you can’t have it! You’re the man on that I realize it is a lot of work. I think a freeway made out of wood is how I’m going to do mine. It’s isolated from the trains sort of.
Always interesting and informative, but WHY on earth do you have Foster's Beer? I won't say its the worst beer in the world, but it's bloody close, we don5even drink it here in Australia
Wonderful locomotive’s, superb running. Like the liveries. Super video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much

these new 90s are so nice, just seeing this has made me want more 😂 they look so good on long sets aswell,
Something else for the 'to buy' list then I see

First time seeing this layout. Amazing stock. Love watching them go round.
Welcome to you! Glad you've taken an interest, cheers
Your layout is coming along very nicely 👍
Thank you, very slowly but yes little bits are getting done

Oh I didn't even notice the buffer differences, I shall have to look at that next time I'm out there
They certainly do look like dramatic improvement on the previous offering. Great running shots.
Major improvement! Tempted ?

After I finished videoing I just sat on my chair in the middle watching them for some time, I do love the way they look around the curves too!
They look really good, big fan of the RES livery.
I actually bought that one to respray into Scotrail sleeper livery to be honest, so unfortunately it won't be staying ther livery forever!
Looking good Dan. Awaiting delivery of mine this week. Impressed at the large rake of pretendolino coaches. Not easy to come by as I have found
You won't be disappointed! And that rake has taken over 3 years to put together but it's finally finished and I shall never be parting with it!

They are truly a massive improvement, I can see the prices if old 90s dropping through the floor with these now released
Looking rather good I must say
Thank you!
