Lol as a CBT and day one Wuthering Waves player, this has to be the most delusional take I've read regarding both games, it's like saying that "zelda clone" game has better combat mechanics than WuWa. Both games have its own pros and cons, but the fact that WuWa is lacking in terms of music is true, and most people in the fandom agreed, even Kuro's previous game (Punishing Gray Raven) has better music than WuWa. It's not like the OSTs are bad per se, it's just not memorable. The only good ones I can remember are the main menu login screen theme, Lampylumen Myriad boss theme, Inferno Rider boss theme, and some of the OSTs from the new area (Mt.Firmament / Hongzhen), the rest? Nah not really.. That "zelda clone" music production value is just on another level bruh. Also, the only part where it feels like "Zelda BOTW clone" in that game is just in the first region/nation of the game, second region not so much, and it's completely different when the story reach the third nation. Yes, I'm a Zelda player too
Unfortunately, the entire soundtrack of WuWa, which I've heard, seems to me too simple and extremely BGM-oriented, even the boss fights. I'm not a fan of electronic music to begin with, but from a game with plot based on sound, I would like to expect something more interesting. I hope the quality of the music will improve along with the success of the game.
that's what I thought so too. Pgr's sound track sets the patch's pacing and theme. It tells the story and emotion of what will happen with music alone. Here in Wuwa, they dumped music for bosses and i feel no story behind it. You can feel the difference of in-house music producers compared to Vanguard Studios. A solution to this I think is to have a VSS music per patch to set the tone and pacing just like PGR, and then fill the other segments of the game with their house blend music.
@@mercyJz I think the issue with that line of thinking is that the games' structures are too different to be able to compare them. You like PGR's soundtrack because it ties into the story and the theme of the patch really well, but that only really works because each chapter in PGR is its own self contained story. I wouldn't expect the patch updates in WuWa to contain nearly the same amount of story content per patch, so they'd have to limit it to specifically story climaxes or bosses to make something similar work. As a tester in both CBTs though, I thought the boss atmospheres were pretty decently fitting with the OSTs they provided, if not a little too intense at times. It kind of felt like the music of each boss kind of mirrored their behaviors rather than telling a full story, just supplementing the little bit of character each boss showed in its attack styles and stuff. While a little bit generic with some OSTs, it did fit in pretty well.
I think you should listen to some of Genshin soundtrack, some track, the composer is quite creative, they were able to mix traditional instruments with modern electronic music, it just incredible.

This guy need to be included in the hologram boss, I don't mind dying a thousand time if this song play in the background.
Yeah he would be easly the hardest boss
Sometimes he's slow and them INSTANT in normal mode imagine as a hologram boss
@@Kross_VikI would actually want him to be the most difficult boss and be 100 times more agressive, just because I think it would very very funny
I came from the future to say that he will be a hologram in version 1.3 ☠️
My brother in christ, they added him as a hologram boss, he won't stop spamming the meteors☠

is it just me or it feels underwhelming with the feels or vibe with the selection of this game ost, i guess i'm just used to pgr bangers
