His family was from the Naples area but they were about 2 hours south of Rome and north of the city of Naples. Set in the mountains or Hillside, I guess. He fought in World War II US Navy SeaBees and retired off of the USS Constitution ,Old Ironside in Boston. Know you are appreciated and amazing. This video brought back another cooking memory. It was in the mid-90's, I didn't have a dinner plan, but I had four pork boneless pork chops (now I know that they were cut from a pork tenderloin), a jar of pasta, and pasta, and made essentially the same meal. I seasoned and coated the chops with flour, pan fried until brown on both sides, added the pasta sauce to the same pan, let it simmer for about 30mins and cooked a pot of pasta...Frying the bread was total genius! Oh, and knowing that pasta water is 'liquid gold'..
❤ definitely going to make this. Might make it for supper tomorrow night. Not a white wine fan so would use red. When making that bread might have to mix cheese in it. Again you outdid yourself ❤😊😊

I really don’t eat much meat, and I never eat chicken or bird of any kind (there’s a reason for that and I’ll tell you about it one day…actually if you Google the town of Fitzgerald you may figure it out! 😉) So side dishes are what I really love…pasta and potatoes hands down! Having lived in the south of course I’m going to flock to a southern style show. I appreciated from the first video I watched how you made everything look so easy and delicious. I think I may have even commented on that at that time. You build confidence in people…it’s the gentle way in which you give attention to details which, to me, helps take the fear out of cooking (notice I said, “Helps” Lol). I cannot imagine you ever feeling self conscious because everything you make, whether I like it or not, seems to come out perfect. Also, the way you dress up the meals makes me think, “Maybe I would try those cankles!” 🤔 But most likely not! So, anyway, just some ideas from a picky eater like me (🥴) … vegetables, casseroles, and, of course, you know I’m still waiting for the desserts! 😋 You’re the best! Fitzgerald Ga has lots of pretty birds running around the town. So it makes since a nice girl would lose her appetite for fowl. You probably fed them and made friends lol.

Of course I miss all my friends…and the food.
