An easy way to not fall for this is by how much the furniture count because the real house will obviously have more furniture than the fake one. And it’s way better to send the trade request when you’re inside the home and still look around just in case they switched it.
Theres new scam regarding that once one girl was trading house and i went to look the house was perfectly decorated and she wanted a legendary for it but theres a catch,when you buy that house its already decorated!I was completely obvlivious...Its the house that costs 600 bucks.

I got scammed for my ride parrot by the new trust your friend scam, i had no clue it wasn’t my friend, it’s a smart scam, don’t fall for it guys, they tell u to add your best pets then distract you and make an alt that has a similar name to your friends then trade u if your ever in this situation just decline if it’s not your friend..
Same thing happened with me. It was for my crow. Some guy had a frost dragon and kept asking me questions and it was so weird. I’ve been trying to get my crow back for a while now but I forgot how long it takes to reach a certain point.
Also a new scam I nearly fell for! Basically this guy had a bat dragon and other cool pets and he said “I’m quitting I wanna give my pets to you - do you have someone that is new?” I would say “yes my brother is new” and so my brother joined me - he said to make both of us go in seperate rooms irl so we couldn’t see each others screens. He told me to trade my brother my best pet so I traded him I was putting in my best pet to my brother but my brother came up to me and said he’s also getting traded by the same guy. So basically if I put my best pet in and accepted it would have gone to the guy and he would’ve gotten my pet! Stay safe out there!!!

I once got scammed for my dalmatian with the scam where there's someone on a bat dragon who is saying something like "abc if you have a friend or cousin who plays adopt me!" So I said "abc" and they told me to bring in my friend, saying that they just want to see if we trust each other and if we do, she'll give us her bat dragon, and she said she'll give my friend her other bat dragon. I brought in my friend, and the person said, "ok I want to record this so wait a bit for me to set up my equipment and stuff" when she was actually creating an alt account with a similar username to my friend's, then when she had created the alt and had it join, she said, "ok trade ur friend ur favorite pet." But the alt traded me instead of my friend and this was before the time when it showed that someone was your friend, so I lost my dalmatian through that scam.
i almost got scammed for my turtle, cow, and frost fury the same way except i got my brother and i was watching his screen so i could make sure that i couldn’t lose anything. so sorry you lost your dalmatian, hope you get it back.
Scammers are getting really bad, can't even join a game these days without there being atleast one scammer on the same server. I only trade for undecorated houses as you don't have to give such good pets and i am a grinder so usually have a fair bit of money to decorate and also have sisters who love decorating houses.
i got scammed by the exploit scam where they take the pet out on the second trade and they kept asking me questions so i wouldn't notice STORY! -> so basically i decided to offer for a frost dragon not realising this would be my biggest mistake. I added in ALL my really good pets and he said "its a good offer, ill do it if you can answer these questions" I decided to say yes because i was not familiar with this scam at the time. So he basically added me as a friend and told me to teleport to him, so I did and then he sent me a trade request. i added in all my pets and he added in the frost dragon and then he said "let me add some more for you :)" and he added a nr dog and a few randoms. he started spamming me questions and i was trying to answer them and he kept saying your going too slow just to make me start spamming random things. He accepted the first trade and kept spamming questions! i was recording at the time too. so basically i accepted the trade and then confirmed it and i was really excited because i thought i got the frost dragon. and i looked in my inventory and the frost dragon was not there. i looked back over the video i took and on the second trade while i was answering the questions i saw the frost dragon just vanish from the trade. (I traded my fr crow and a bunch of neon legendarys only to just get back a nr dog...)
I was hacked a while ago (like half way through the Halloween update with the lava dragon) I didn’t notice it until I had to do a trade and realized most of my pets were gone. I didn’t notice this as I was aging up pets from the new update and didn’t take out the pets that I normally do. I lost a bunch of things but the two that I miss the most were a neon parrot and a mega unicorn.

I thought i needed a black scooter coz bat dragon is my dp. I traded my fr ccbd and fr kitsune for it coz i thought it was rare coz the person was trading a nfr bat dragon for it. Then i went to the person after i got the black scooter. They did not accept my trade. And then they said...." TRADING NFR BAT DRAGON FOR MY DREAM BANNA RATLE. ". So i traded the same person i traded my ccbd and kitsune to. Traded the black scooter for banna ratle. Traded the person with nfr bat dragon. THE MOST SAD THING HAPPENED!!!!! I traded them put in the banna ratle....... And....... THEY SAID THERE SISTER ALREADY HAD IT! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! I CRIED OVER AND OVER TO MY PARENTS AND SPAM REQUESTED THE PERSON WITH MY CCBD AND KITSUNE THEY KEEPED DECLINING!!!! 😭😭😭 AND LEFT THE SERVER WITH MY CCBD AND KITSUNE 😭😭😭 The end 😢

I actually got scammed with almost this exact scam. I gave them a giraffe for a house which was very professionally built and detailed. They gave me a house with the same first room but the rest was default and it sucked.
i kinda don’t know if i got scammed or not but once i tried to offer for a rly pretty preppy home and when it wasn’t for sale the person put it on sale again, once i went inside it was empty. i thought it was me glitching, but i got convinced and offered a FR reindeer for it. it turned out to be empty but its not a big deal for me.
I remember someone ALMOST scammef me. i went to a party that sold pets and i was first and there were only 2 ppl so i traded them and they showed my really good pets like wildfire hawk and burning bunny. I wanted the hawk and then the other player wanted the bunny but they sold at a very cheap price (like 150-200) so i was suspicious. The other person gave them 150 bucks. The scammer traded me and said “what is ur dp” i said “ghost bc i got scammed” and they gave me free ghost but they didnt accept and said “my mom oz calling me” and when they were back they left.. they scammed the other person and i feel bad for them😢

This recent trading bar update (idk I quit adopt me for a year now) there's this guy that was offering for my mfr cow and they offered mfr shadow and mfr frost (too good to be true) and they said like if there are some weird things in trade chat, that's not him and I was like okayyy? And he came back and like the mfr's was gone and was completely replaced by fr's. Turns out he froze my acc and he hacked my inventory, I lost my only pet which was my mfr cow-
This is why I barely play adopt me anymore. I simply just lose motivation back in late 2022 but it isn't just because of that but scammers too. I recently tried to join back during the dino update but some people tried to take advantage of me since I didn't know the worth because it changed since 2022 and that's when I officially decided to quit and just join out of boredom every 6-8 months. Plus in my opinion it isn't as good as it was back in 2019, the fanbase wasn't too toxic back then and I made some genuine good friends unlike now where people only wanted to be my friend since I had a nfr frost fury Simple to say I just moved on from the game and decided to do some others like cos, whi, hl and such. Though adopt me will still hold a place in my heart for being one of the first games I played on roblox

This girl was even saying “unicorn is worth way more then the bat dragon”, so I did the trade, and then she said “get scammed” and left! I still don’t forget it
i remember i got scammed back two years ago. i lost so many pets i worked so hard for some of them my friend even gave me. i mainly remember losing my nfr meerkat my friend gave me, and my turtle and kangaroo. “kelly” and “shelly” :( and my llama named linda, croc, platypus, turkey my rhino and my eagle plush, and other newer pets like the trex shark octopus, and nfr metal ox, but if i could ask for one back it would be my nfr meerkat because my friend put it in my inventory when she made the account for me :( ur a life saver though i subscribed
ButGodWhenILookAtYou I got scammed for my neon parrot. They were using this method where one person had a mega turtle and then said that they were trading it for a pet that they had on their alt. Then I gave their alt the neon parrot and then when I tried trading him that pet he declined and left along with the other account. Stay safe
This would never work on me because I walk around when I trade and I’d immediately enter the rest of the house but I’m so sick of seeing scams people need to stop
yeah thats why whenever i do trades in houses i always stay inside until the player or owner of the house put it in trade so i know its not a scam, simple as that.

I got scammed my whole inv but not from this scam and it was a neon kangaroo 4 strawberry bat dragons a neon cow and an artic fox (I rlly like making neon lol) but yeah if anyone wants to know the scam just ask!
Was scammed for my FR CCBD, NFR Frost Furry, and FR turtle... Person saying that they would do ANYTHING, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to get a very low tier pet, putting in NFR Shadows, and MFR Frost Drags, MFR Bat drags, etc. And they would set up another account, which would have that very specific low tier pet. (As of in my case the low tier pet was a scarlet butterfly, no pot) But the account with the pet would only sell it for HUGE amounts of overpay, like a Common for a Neon Leg. I, Who was uhm... Very dumb, fell for it, and I TRADED OFF MY HARD WORKED FR CCbd, Nfr Frost Furry, and FR Turtle. As soon as the trade was completed, the two horrible scammers left the server, and went on doing the same thing with other people in different servers. I was able to know since one of them had their joins on. Even when I reported them, my pets never came back, and I had to re-do my whole inventory, since those three pets were my best ones. I was left with 2 common neons, and a no pot leg.💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 I litterly cannot belive i wrote this much LOL
i hate when scammers find a new scam, i got scammed a NFR unicorn because of a "full grown" red panda, which was only the name and they added spaces so i could look real :’). (i know it sounds like i overpaid, but they did like 6 newborn red pandas w the name "full grown" and then a REAL full grown one, but i rlly needed it, also because they added a neon mouse c’:)

I got hacked here( story time: I once had a fly ,ride AXLOTOL , minion zodiac, +many more pets and I was happy w em at that time I did not have the 2step verification on that exact account so anyone could easily log in , I didn’t realize this cuz I missed a few days on adopt me BUT when I logged in adopt me my AXLOTOL AND MINION WERE GONE OFFICALY GONE I REPORTED multiple times when I say multiple I mean it like around 3+TIMES and never got them back due to this I didn’t join adopt me for a while - after a while I joined and still didn’t get them back also it was in my TRADE HISTORY now all my other trades are GONE JUST GONE I HONESTLY DID CRY not that big of a deal I still the account but not the pets sadly I can’t report her bc my trade history is gone.. umm but yea if u read this I am not giving my username because of how worried I am of it getting hacked but if ur tempted to get my pets back I can give my alt account.. thanks to whoever read this much

I got scammed for a neon strawberry bat when I had just bought it and made it neon the scam was where they pretend to be your friend and I ended up accidentally giving it to them and was devastated for ages and lost my streak 😭
How to tell if its a switched house 1- if it has an enclosed entrance 2- check the furniture count If its only little furniture when the house has lots of furniture dont accept 3- go near the door theyre trading If the door resets and opens back its a switched home
some guy led a bunch of ppl to his house, which the entry was blocked, and the only thing was a register on a table, he told us ‘first to donate me 50 bucks gets free sloth’ and since I was ten I thought’OMG’, he left right after the last person donated, it was only 50 bucks this so idc 🤷

I got scammed for my FR King bee, (This was before I knew about the pick a door scam) So this girl called Heartsforshania asked If I wanted to play pick a door and I didn't know about this scam so I said yes I gave her my king bee, and she removed the wall and the board said snow owl I was suprised, then one minute later she left I was so sad and from that day I was aware from pick a door (The reason I was sad its because I had a NFR cat and it was my favorite pet, but I traded it for a King bee, Honestly Idk why this person did the trade)
RORORocks2010 I was scammed for my pink cat, my NFR kangaroo that I worked for years for, and my fly ride king bee. the scammer used two different accounts to do the scam. on one account, he said “ trading frost dragon for ____ “ I don’t remember what pet, and his other account was the one that had the pet he was trading the frost dragon for. I was so sad and I quit adopt me. I really want to keep playing it so I hope you see this!
I've legit on my other account when i was way younger scammed out of my ride albino for a neon dog. Scams like this are disgusting. Ita not real money sure, (unless its a fly/bought with robux or bought with money from robux) but it does make people feel horrible.
I feel so stupid because I literally fell for this scam and lost my parrot and my favourite mega chick. They had this awesomely built house and it was huge and I just feel stupid because when I actually got the house it was full of nothing.
No point me even saying anything since I had like everything multiple times up-to mythic egg if that was after ocean egg. Things I miss the most and still have not got back is my Fly Ride Parrot and my shrew, My neon Dodo F R and my meerkat. I also miss my halloween skeleton vehicle carriage thing

i almost got scammed for my turtle, cow, and frost fury the same way except i got my brother and i was watching his screen so i could make sure that i couldn’t lose anything. so sorry you lost your dalmatian, hope you get it back.
Scammers are getting really bad, can't even join a game these days without there being atleast one scammer on the same server. I only trade for undecorated houses as you don't have to give such good pets and i am a grinder so usually have a fair bit of money to decorate and also have sisters who love decorating houses.
i got scammed by the exploit scam where they take the pet out on the second trade and they kept asking me questions so i wouldn't notice STORY! -> so basically i decided to offer for a frost dragon not realising this would be my biggest mistake. I added in ALL my really good pets and he said "its a good offer, ill do it if you can answer these questions" I decided to say yes because i was not familiar with this scam at the time. So he basically added me as a friend and told me to teleport to him, so I did and then he sent me a trade request. i added in all my pets and he added in the frost dragon and then he said "let me add some more for you :)" and he added a nr dog and a few randoms. he started spamming me questions and i was trying to answer them and he kept saying your going too slow just to make me start spamming random things. He accepted the first trade and kept spamming questions! i was recording at the time too. so basically i accepted the trade and then confirmed it and i was really excited because i thought i got the frost dragon. and i looked in my inventory and the frost dragon was not there. i looked back over the video i took and on the second trade while i was answering the questions i saw the frost dragon just vanish from the trade. (I traded my fr crow and a bunch of neon legendarys only to just get back a nr dog...)

I was hacked a while ago (like half way through the Halloween update with the lava dragon) I didn’t notice it until I had to do a trade and realized most of my pets were gone. I didn’t notice this as I was aging up pets from the new update and didn’t take out the pets that I normally do. I lost a bunch of things but the two that I miss the most were a neon parrot and a mega unicorn.
That’s horrible! Once I got scammed for my fly ride arctic fox so I know how it feels 😭

I was in a very rich server. I saw in chat " TRADING NFR BAT DRAGON FOR MY DREAM BLACK SCOOTER.". I thought i needed a black scooter coz bat dragon is my dp. I traded my fr ccbd and fr kitsune for it coz i thought it was rare coz the person was trading a nfr bat dragon for it. Then i went to the person after i got the black scooter. They did not accept my trade. And then they said...." TRADING NFR BAT DRAGON FOR MY DREAM BANNA RATLE. ". So i traded the same person i traded my ccbd and kitsune to. Traded the black scooter for banna ratle. Traded the person with nfr bat dragon. THE MOST SAD THING HAPPENED!!!!! I traded them put in the banna ratle....... And....... THEY SAID THERE SISTER ALREADY HAD IT! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! I CRIED OVER AND OVER TO MY PARENTS AND SPAM REQUESTED THE PERSON WITH MY CCBD AND KITSUNE THEY KEEPED DECLINING!!!! 😭😭😭 AND LEFT THE SERVER WITH MY CCBD AND KITSUNE 😭😭😭

I got scammed by the "trust your friend" scam, where the person had a mega shadow pretended to be my best friend, who was beside me since he had made a similar alt account with the same user. I didn't realize it until I pressed accept, and then I lost my crow. Remember not to fall for stupid scams like these, I hope everyone has a good day and stays safe!

I actually got scammed with almost this exact scam. I gave them a giraffe for a house which was very professionally built and detailed. They gave me a house with the same first room but the rest was default and it sucked.
i kinda don’t know if i got scammed or not but once i tried to offer for a rly pretty preppy home and when it wasn’t for sale the person put it on sale again, once i went inside it was empty. i thought it was me glitching, but i got convinced and offered a FR reindeer for it. it turned out to be empty but its not a big deal for me.

I remember someone ALMOST scammef me. i went to a party that sold pets and i was first and there were only 2 ppl so i traded them and they showed my really good pets like wildfire hawk and burning bunny. I wanted the hawk and then the other player wanted the bunny but they sold at a very cheap price (like 150-200) so i was suspicious. The other person gave them 150 bucks. The scammer traded me and said “what is ur dp” i said “ghost bc i got scammed” and they gave me free ghost but they didnt accept and said “my mom oz calling me” and when they were back they left.. they scammed the other person and i feel bad for them😢

I was scammed when I was younger for one of the old golden penguins and after that I quit, I recently started playing again and I like the old version better.
This is a horrible scamm I hate how every time there’s a new scamm it always gets more smarter where people can fall for it easily without even knowing it, It’s horrible for people making scamms just because it makes them happy…
they should fix this by making it so theres some sort of animation when a house is switched or in this case “renamed”

This recent trading bar update (idk I quit adopt me for a year now) there's this guy that was offering for my mfr cow and they offered mfr shadow and mfr frost (too good to be true) and they said like if there are some weird things in trade chat, that's not him and I was like okayyy? And he came back and like the mfr's was gone and was completely replaced by fr's. Turns out he froze my acc and he hacked my inventory, I lost my only pet which was my mfr cow-
This is why I barely play adopt me anymore. I simply just lose motivation back in late 2022 but it isn't just because of that but scammers too. I recently tried to join back during the dino update but some people tried to take advantage of me since I didn't know the worth because it changed since 2022 and that's when I officially decided to quit and just join out of boredom every 6-8 months. Plus in my opinion it isn't as good as it was back in 2019, the fanbase wasn't too toxic back then and I made some genuine good friends unlike now where people only wanted to be my friend since I had a nfr frost fury
Simple to say I just moved on from the game and decided to do some others like cos, whi, hl and such. Though adopt me will still hold a place in my heart for being one of the first games I played on roblox

i remember i got scammed back two years ago. i lost so many pets i worked so hard for some of them my friend even gave me. i mainly remember losing my nfr meerkat my friend gave me, and my turtle and kangaroo. “kelly” and “shelly” :( and my llama named linda, croc, platypus, turkey my rhino and my eagle plush, and other newer pets like the trex shark octopus, and nfr metal ox, but if i could ask for one back it would be my nfr meerkat because my friend put it in my inventory when she made the account for me :( ur a life saver though i subscribed

ButGodWhenILookAtYou I got scammed for my neon parrot. They were using this method where one person had a mega turtle and then said that they were trading it for a pet that they had on their alt. Then I gave their alt the neon parrot and then when I tried trading him that pet he declined and left along with the other account. Stay safe

I literally got scammed for neon unicorn and neon cow a while ago and i got completely poor after it... why do they have to scam innocent kids i lost count but i might got scammed around 60+ times. i have quit adopt me forever and i dont think i will ever get back to it because i also dont want to speak to anyone in adopt me.. but so you dont have to quit just beware
I got scammed my whole inv but not from this scam and it was a neon kangaroo 4 strawberry bat dragons a neon cow and an artic fox (I rlly like making neon lol) but yeah if anyone wants to know the scam just ask!
Was scammed for my FR CCBD, NFR Frost Furry, and FR turtle... Person saying that they would do ANYTHING, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to get a very low tier pet, putting in NFR Shadows, and MFR Frost Drags, MFR Bat drags, etc. And they would set up another account, which would have that very specific low tier pet. (As of in my case the low tier pet was a scarlet butterfly, no pot) But the account with the pet would only sell it for HUGE amounts of overpay, like a Common for a Neon Leg. I, Who was uhm... Very dumb, fell for it, and I TRADED OFF MY HARD WORKED FR CCbd, Nfr Frost Furry, and FR Turtle. As soon as the trade was completed, the two horrible scammers left the server, and went on doing the same thing with other people in different servers. I was able to know since one of them had their joins on. Even when I reported them, my pets never came back, and I had to re-do my whole inventory, since those three pets were my best ones. I was left with 2 common neons, and a no pot leg.💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 I litterly cannot belive i wrote this much LOL
i hate when scammers find a new scam, i got scammed a NFR unicorn because of a "full grown" red panda, which was only the name and they added spaces so i could look real :’).
(i know it sounds like i overpaid, but they did like 6 newborn red pandas w the name "full grown" and then a REAL full grown one, but i rlly needed it, also because they added a neon mouse c’:)

I remember getting hacked they got all of my pets when I learnd that I started all over and got rich like I had an owl and it was my fav pet but i got scammed by an old method I don't remember it but when i realized i got scammed it was so sad :(( now I am in a new account and starting all over with my friend my role name would match with her it was TheAmazingCatDerin and hers were TheAmazingAntAsya but she changed her name that's all of my story of me getting scammed :(
I swear I got scammed for my robo dog, FR unicorn, cobra and R Australian Kelpie as I traded them for pets in pet sim 99 but never got them. Now I only have a FR dragon and winged unicorn and r axolotl and other pets
I got hacked here( story time: I once had a fly ,ride AXLOTOL , minion zodiac, +many more pets and I was happy w em at that time I did not have the 2step verification on that exact account so anyone could easily log in , I didn’t realize this cuz I missed a few days on adopt me BUT when I logged in adopt me my AXLOTOL AND MINION WERE GONE OFFICALY GONE I REPORTED multiple times when I say multiple I mean it like around 3+TIMES and never got them back due to this I didn’t join adopt me for a while - after a while I joined and still didn’t get them back also it was in my TRADE HISTORY now all my other trades are GONE JUST GONE I HONESTLY DID CRY not that big of a deal I still the account but not the pets sadly I can’t report her bc my trade history is gone.. umm but yea if u read this I am not giving my username because of how worried I am of it getting hacked but if ur tempted to get my pets back I can give my alt account.. thanks to whoever read this much

How to tell if its a switched house
1- if it has an enclosed entrance
2- check the furniture count
If its only little furniture when the house has lots of furniture dont accept
3- go near the door theyre trading
If the door resets and opens back its a switched home
some guy led a bunch of ppl to his house, which the entry was blocked, and the only thing was a register on a table, he told us ‘first to donate me 50 bucks gets free sloth’ and since I was ten I thought’OMG’, he left right after the last person donated, it was only 50 bucks this so idc 🤷
I don’t trade in adopt me for this exact reason. Scammers get smarter everyday. It’s scary.

how to prevent this : Before u actually trade for the fake house , enter it and glitch out with a stroller and a flyable/rideable pet if its not the same just leave the house and continue ur day

I infact did get scammed with this... she has the trap door thing and I thiught nothing of it I was js gonna delete it later, IT was a really expensive preppy home with a HUGE sky castle, all she wanted was my neon fly ride chick and my mega goose. I said okay because obviously it was super expensive and I Love sky castles. we did the trade and when I went inside the home.. the trap door was there and nothing was there. I cried SO hard and I couldn't stop crying. I'm never trusting a house again!
I got scammed for my FR King bee,

So this girl called Heartsforshania asked If I wanted to play pick a door and I didn't know about this scam so I said yes
I gave her my king bee, and she removed the wall and the board said snow owl
I was suprised, then one minute later she left
I was so sad and from that day I was aware from pick a door
(The reason I was sad its because I had a NFR cat and it was my favorite pet, but I traded it for a King bee, Honestly Idk why this person did the trade)

RORORocks2010 I was scammed for my pink cat, my NFR kangaroo that I worked for years for, and my fly ride king bee. the scammer used two different accounts to do the scam. on one account, he said “ trading frost dragon for ____ “ I don’t remember what pet, and his other account was the one that had the pet he was trading the frost dragon for. I was so sad and I quit adopt me. I really want to keep playing it so I hope you see this!

i got scammed for a mfr cow and neon ostrich's and many more and then i got banned right after for scamming m own pets when thats literally impossible

I've legit on my other account when i was way younger scammed out of my ride albino for a neon dog. Scams like this are disgusting. Ita not real money sure, (unless its a fly/bought with robux or bought with money from robux) but it does make people feel horrible.
I feel so stupid because I literally fell for this scam and lost my parrot and my favourite mega chick. They had this awesomely built house and it was huge and I just feel stupid because when I actually got the house it was full of nothing.
No point me even saying anything since I had like everything multiple times up-to mythic egg if that was after ocean egg. Things I miss the most and still have not got back is my Fly Ride Parrot and my shrew, My neon Dodo F R and my meerkat. I also miss my halloween skeleton vehicle carriage thing
I got scammed by that way but kinda different cuz when i first saw the house it was pretty preppy and looked pretty cute and it was my dream home then we traded immediately i offered my neon kangaroo and no pot turtle and 2 majestic pony after i got the house i checked the inside and there was nothing the house was completely empty not even a single furniture she was pretty quiet the whole time she did the house tour for me and after the trade she just left cuz i checked the house after the trade and now i have to go back to 0 i worked a year just for that kangaroo and i lost it including the turtle since the Aussie egg came out i never traded it.
