I don’t think that he did too many runs like the commenters below are saying, lol. And perhaps that’s because they were in the right places for me. It didn’t feel too much or contrived or anything. It worked.

Why more people don't love JJ will forever be a mystery to me. She is *so* good. :)
Regarding Wilson.... why sing a clean line in any song when your voice is the proverbial right hand of a concert pianist, & you can do a 12-note run?! LOL The ability to do something outrageous, imho, needs tempered by the sound judgement of where to place a few moments of the outrageous. If you are just non-stop crazy running, well, that can leave folk cold. Impressed at the technicality, sure.... but cold because the core of the *song* is lost, & everything should serve the *song* to gain connection with a wide audience.
Jessie J used to do too many runs though. Maybe in time he’ll learn.
None of the runs were out of place though it literally added to the song

This shows how important artistic choices are, and restraint of course. Jessie can do all those adlibs too but knows it sounds obnoxious when used on every line
