Some of them were only born in other countries, but parents were originally from Turkey, therefore.. they are still Turkish by blood and nationality, but with foreign citizenship(because some were born in Germany). They are Turkish-German. Turkish by nationality and German by citizenship, while some are Eurasian(Europian-Asian mix), like Greek-Turkish, or German-Turkish, either by blood or by citizenship... so how can this video say, they are not turkish originally when half of their parents are turkish??

It doesn't matter where.they were born or even who their parents are. If they identify as Turkish then they are Turkish. Are these people promoting Nazism? They were the last people to promote ideas of a pure race. Look what happened because of those stupid beliefs. Migration of peoples have been happening throughout history. And for all that time people have been mixing. So there is no pure race- only the human race!

Permit me as a non-Turk to add to your too kind correction to this bimbo's incredably stupid remarks: To be Turkish by citizenship is to swear loyalty to the Turkish flag and to speak Turkish.
Otherwise, yes, you can be culturally 'turkish' if you speak the language, but remain a citizen of another country.
So in effect, what this woman is suggesting is that Turks who were born outside the border --or whose paretnts have recently emigrated--are not 'real' Turks. This is greywolf nonsense!

When Ottoman Empire had started to lose lands in the Balkans, many Turks and also muslims from other nationalities that were living there had to immigrate to Anatolia to escape being killed. So that's the reason why we have so many people of migrant background. And then there were the Bosnian War in the early 90s and an assimilation campaign against Turks in Bulgaria in the mid 80s. Ilhan Şen's family moving from Bulgaria to Turkey in 1989 is just an example.

Many Turkish Are Serbian Origins. That people are islamized.the Turkish army led Serbian children and used them as its army and also took many children and men to Turkey to serve and to this day about 9 million people according to research on the origin of Turks are Serbs (Slavs) from the Balkans and today's Montenegro, Serbia , Bosnia and Herzegovina. And so they had to become Islamized, ie change their religion from Orthodoxy to Islam, and even today they are living in Turkey, although they probably do not know that they are of Serbian (Orthodox origin)

I was born in Holland to immigrant Turkish parents, I am Dutch as well as Turkish. The title is misleading and totally incorrect. Because someone is born in a different country then his or her origin, doesn't decide what nationality a person has, it is also a "cultural" feeling, a bond what you have with your heritage. As a Turk living in Holland I have much more common with my Turkish culture then the Dutch. The fact that a lady is born in Solingen to Turkish and Circissian parents means that that person is full "Turkish", since Kirgizistan, Circissian, is basically a Turkic people, folk, race, so yeah she is Turkish, 100%. Ur logic is totally off. I would like to see you make this video about American Jewish movie people, like Steven Spielberg, you should say that they arent jewish but simple Americans....they would accept it, but they woukd definately not say that they aren't jewish, you are daying that thede people aren't Turks and that they only work in Turkey. Which is clearly bs.

@@osadeiny6712 Because years ago, Turks living in different countries were subjected to violence and torture. Especially from the Balkans, there were great migrations to Turkey. Most of them were Turks. They escaped torture and the danger of being killed. These happened at different times. For example, during the Bosnian War, there were migrations to Turkey. They were called immigrants, but not in an exclusionary sense. Their children also had many different professions in Turkey. In addition, there were people who went to Europe from Turkey as workers between the years of 60-70. In Europe they were called immigrants. There were some of their children who returned to Turkey and became famous. This is a very long and detailed event. I hope I was able to explain.

Andriyan Nikoloyev was Turk. Shoygu is Tuva Turk. On the other hand Ukrainians are mix of kipchak, Khazar Turks and slavian people. Iran consists of 35 million Turks. Hungarians are originally Turks, they are turanian. There are christian gagauz Turk minority in Moldova.. There are minorities in balkans.. People just know about ottomans. It was just one of our states. We founded more than 16 khanagetes (empire, kingdom) ottoman was just one of them and trust me it was not a perfect example of Turkishness. Even Turkish nationalist don't like it for some reasons. Even the first and only jewish khanagete was founded by us which is Khazaria.. When I read the comments, I felt the need to enlighten you. I can say that at least 70% of 80 million people living in Turkey are Muslim Ottomans who were forced to migrate from the Balkans (albania, kosovo, mecadonia, greece etc.), and Caucasus (from south russia). Immigration to Turkey still continues. 5 million Syrians arabs and 1 million Afghan refugees have taken shelter in the last 10 years. That's why Turks are a very cosmopolitan country. There are also 15 million Kurds living in this country. But we call every person living in this country Turkish. And we never discriminate. and every person living in this country feels himself/herself belonging to this country.

There is no nation called the Ottomans. The Ottoman Empire is a Turkish empire. The Ottoman Empire did not hide the conquered places in the showcase like ornaments. Turks migrated to every place it conquered.
Caucasus, Middle East, North Africa, Greece, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Hungary etc etc.
When the Ottoman empire collapsed, most of the millions of Turks who had lived in these regions for hundreds of years came back to Turkey. Among those who migrated to Turkey, there are Bosnians, Albanians and Circassians who have become Muslims.
However, the majority of those who came back are Turks who have lived there for hundreds of years. Today, many Turks still live in those geographies.

Balkan, Middle-East, Caucasius régions were former Ottoman territories, thus this is not a surprise that many Turkish people have foreign background.
They're Turkish anyway, as long as they embrace their identity, their culture, their language.
Same goes with other nations that had an imperial past, such as France and the UK.
And by the way, let's not forget that those people were already Turkish descendants even abroad. For example, in Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, etc etc. The evidence is usually genetic, but also obvious by the similarities in many cultural aspects such as music, cuisine and mentality...

All the hyphenated labels (African American, Hispanic American, etc) is something only a few politicians and news reporters care about, not your friends, family, neighbors, or fellow citizens. I would never say, "This is my Hindu-American coworker, Ravinder." or "Here's my Black American neighbor, Latoya." or "Meet my gay friend, Ken." Even the sultans were not pure blood back in the day, in fact most of their wives were not Turkish. So if you dig into literally anyone’s roots; no one is pure“Turkish”. Mesela Rus Satranç şampiyonu kasparov - annem Ermeni, babam yahudi ama ben Rus kültüründe büyüdüm, Rus’um der. This is such a stupid video! Most people from other countries don’t know this but Turkey is a country with many many different ethnicities. We have Turks with Albanien, Bulgarian, Circassian, Arab, Jewish, Armenian, Bosnian background. But they are all Turks! Because of the Ottoman Empire and the many wars of neighboring countries throughout the centuries, Turkey was a refuge or a gateway to other countries. Some found a home in Turkey or continued to other countries. I am also of Circassian descent and my ancestors found refuge in Turkey. We are all Turks!

Turkey has absorbed so many cultures. It is hard to say who is Turkish based on their genealogy. Turkey does not mean only the Turkic tribs. The Kurds, Arabs, Laz, Armenians, Georgians, Tartats, Rums, Bulgars, and the Islanders all should be considered as well. But, the Turks dominated government is not tolerant, which leaves the impression that to be a Turkish citizen means is that a Turk and a Muslim. I hope they will find out what a melting pot is their country and cultural!

Basically circassian was a country between turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan and Russian empire invaded the circassian country and the war went for like 100 and some years (1760-1860) resulting genocides and people taking exile in another countries most of them took refuge in ottoman empire (todays turkey) so yeah you can see the many circassian origin people in turkey.....

Majority of people of Turkey aren’t of central Asian or ethnic Turkic descent. Majority of people in turkey are of European/Balkan, Anatolian, and Caucasian (Circassian, Armenian and Georgian) ancestry with some middle eastern specifically Iranian. Turkey is a very diverse country with tons of ethnicities but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t Turkish. Turkish is more based on cultural assimilation than genetic dna
