I’m sorry for the emotional pain ur going through. I have a bit of experience with that. I would encourage u tho even tho I don’t know ur story, but if u think it’s possible reasearch tips u can use to grow ur hair even though it’s hard certain treatments like rice water or hot oil treatments can help you. I'm sorry you're going through hair loss. I've been there myself I know how scary and emotionally upsetting it was for me. I was thinking about shaving my head and wearing wigs too. About a year and a half ago, I started losing my hair at a frightening rate and it was getting really thin. My dermatologist said I had telogen effluvium, which she said is caused by extreme stress. I lost a ton of hair over approximately 15 months. But slowly but surely it came out less and less until now it has almost completely stopped falling out and my hair is growing back. I also have a good friend who had alopecia and lost all of her hair two years ago. But now it has all completely grown back. She has a beautiful, thick head of hair. I don't know what your diagnosis is but I wanted to offer you some hope. Hang in there and good luck!

Cassy Ng yes. I did that! And when you do just make sure you are taking really good care of your hair underneath. I kind of neglected taking care of my hair after it started growing in and I’m experiencing hair loss on my edges and around the perimeter of my hair. Now I am planing to shave my hair off again... or I might just let it grow out but I have literally no edges ☹️☹️ it’s been 4 months since I went bald. I should of told more care of it but still got time! Trying to see what my next move is ahhhahahaha

Miss, Yes no problem! So I wore the wig, and when I wore the wig I had it on so so tightly.. especially around the perimeter of my head. So by the time my hair started growing in, all around the perimeter my hair broke off so much and this was by like the 9 month I really noticed. While wearing the wig, in the beginning of my big chop, I was washing my head frequently, but the problem was wearing the wig so so much. But anyways, as months went by I stopped really taking care of my hair(neglecting it). I stopped washing it and I was so caught up with wearing the wig and just continue to that for the next few months. Even I stopped paying attention the the hair and it became a routine. Every now and then I would oil my edges with the African pride growth oil, but I wasn’t seeing no change at all because of the wig where I thought the wig didn’t have much effect on my hair. So by month 9 then I really took notice. All around the perimeter of my hair was breakage. My edges barely grew in. Even though I had my hair braided and it was growing underneath..but because I wore the wig too much and so tight my edges didn’t catch up with the growth and the sides of my hair was damaged. So now, I did the big chop again like last month and omg I see so much changes. I decided not to wear the wig anymore, and to where like a hair cap while going out places or to work( it’s very designable) some times I would just walk around bald.. which I have no problem with! But omg I’m looking at my edges and I’m noticing how much they are growing in. I’m washing my hair really frequently, and adding the African pride oil hair growth and I’m seeing such a bigger change without wearing the wig. But if you are too wear the wig just make sure it is not on so tight wash your hair so every so often and be moisturizing it. But I advise to do the big chop without wearing the wig so regularly. Better to wear it in special occasions which is what I should of done! (:

How do you make a wig very stable on a shaved head for a day but still be able to remove it easily during night. I worn one before and a strong wind blew it off my head that i had to chase it in a busy street.
There are a couple of solutions here! One of which is to wear a wig cap line with silicone in it another is to wear adhesive tape under your wig, on top of your wig cap, and the third is to glue your wigs down, which we don't recommend, as it can damage your piece if done incorrectly. www.wigs.com/collections/caps-liners. www.wigs.com/collections/tapes-adhesives

None of our styles come with a bamboo cap construction, but a lot of them have soft caps and lace to prevent further hair loss. I did shave the rest of my hair, have a synthetic wig which is hard to get use to. I only have a fuzz of hair now on my head. Nothing to hold the wig in place it has tabs in the back of it but I’m insecure that it will stay on my head. Any suggestions?

Some wig caps are better ventilated than others so you'll need to try and learn as much as you can before you buy. When the weather's hot there's no denying they can get warm. You can buy wig caps made from bamboo which are said to be the most comfortable for problem scalps. I've found it best to stick to short styles in summer to keep that wig fibre off the neck.

The trouble I have with my wig is that it rides up in back even with a wig grip. The front of the wig doesn’t move at all. I tried tape but it didn’t stay stuck to my neck. My next step is trying wig glue in the back. Are there any other options?

Use a wig grip band!!! I have a whole bunch about this in my video about simple things you can do to make a wig look more realistic! I never use glue and my wigs don’t move, even if my kids pull on it!

The problem is most wigs do not get produced in larger sizes. I am 58.5cm and most average wigs do not fit and give me a migraine. Let alone have a band underneath. I have AU and still struggle to get a curly shoulder length human hair wig anywhere. It's near impossible to get any curly wig I need and I do not suit straight hair. More wigs in curls are needed for people like me.

How do you make a wig very stable on a shaved head for a day but still be able to remove it easily during night. I worn one before and a strong wind blew it off my head that i had to chase it in a busy street.
Double sided tape
There are a couple of solutions here! Hi Ellie, most of the styles we sell are ready to wear, meaning they come with pre-cut lace and don't require glue. None of our styles come with a bamboo cap construction, but a lot of them have soft caps and lace to prevent further hair loss. I did shave the rest of my hair, have a synthetic wig which is hard to get use to. I only have a fuzz of hair now on my head. Nothing to hold the wig in place it has tabs in the back of it but I’m insecure that it will stay on my head. Any suggestions?

Some wig caps are better ventilated than others so you'll need to try and learn as much as you can before you buy. When the weather's hot there's no denying they can get warm. You can buy wig caps made from bamboo which are said to be the most comfortable for problem scalps. I've found it best to stick to short styles in summer to keep that wig fibre off the neck.

The trouble I have with my wig is that it rides up in back even with a wig grip. The front of the wig doesn’t move at all. I tried tape but it didn’t stay stuck to my neck. My next step is trying wig glue in the back. Are there any other options?

Hi Daun, there are a few reasons your synthetic wig could be getting frizzy on the ends. Some of the most common reasons are overuse of heat styling tools, styling tools set at too high of a temperature, simple day to day wear depending on how old the piece is, or even too much friction during travel. Use a wig grip band!!! I have a whole bunch about this in my video about simple things you can do to make a wig look more realistic! I never use glue and my wigs don’t move, even if my kids pull on it!

The problem is most wigs do not get produced in larger sizes. I am 58.5cm and most average wigs do not fit and give me a migraine. Let alone have a band underneath. I have AU and still struggle to get a curly shoulder length human hair wig anywhere. It's near impossible to get any curly wig I need and I do not suit straight hair. More wigs in curls are needed for people like me.
