I used a nice long, stiff, black hackle hair from my smooth Collie for the whip aerial on my 1/72 Airfix Bristol Beaufighter mk X. Works a treat!
My uncle showed me how to do that back in 90. He loves his model making and restoration of old Action Men from 60s 70s . I got my uncle Phil for Christmas this year a 1:48 scale Memphis Belle bomber. I won it for 40 quid on ebay.
