3 Castle Ruins, 3 Fairytale Villages, 1 amazing day!!

France Travel 2023 - Sue had a great idea to see 3 castle ruins and 3 fairytale villages plus experience the Vineyards of the Alsace wine region, all in one day. So we did it, we took a coach bus to Ribeauville (4 Euros pp), did a 7 km hike up a mountain where we visited those amazing castle ruins. Then once we were done that, we walked around the picturesque village before heading for a 4.5 km walk to Riquewihr through the rolling hills and vineyards of this beautiful Alsace countryside. Upon arrival took in the fairytale village treating ourselves to a well deserved beer and a pretzel before heading out to our final stop Kaysersberg another 5km away. Overall we walked a total of 28 Km , but the 9 hour experience will be remembered as it truly was magical.
