Call me crazy, but Byakuya 100% saved Renjis life here. Renji was headed into a situation that was guaranteed death. Byakuya clearly could’ve have killed him around 5 times over here but didn’t.

That scarf that he laid on Renji is worth enough to buy a mansion. So that showed how much he respected him for reaching him with his sword.
Remember defeating Byakuya is only a mile stone. He's only following the law there are still others besides him who are the ones ordering the execution plus the Head Captain.

Can you imagine how rude I would look to my husband family if his niece gave me a kiss and I instantly went to the bathroom to rub it off. Sometimes you gotta read the room. Babies put everything in their mouths so of course she was dirty but I was in a position where I made myself look terrible to his family, make a scene and wash it off or suck it up and be... how cute lol. Its just life but yeah, the baby is sick and now so am I. NM.
