Like others here I had the problem of the fx applying to both the Fill and Stroke fields. The trick was to use the Appearance window and select "Contents", which gives you separate fx controls over Stroke and Fill. With that I was able to duplicate the effect from the video. Thanks!
@nhathoang4859 I found that if you only put the Move Horizontal and Vertical values to 0,5 you don't see the layers :) and you can adjust the size of the shadow by changing the Copies value.
doesnt clear, because i still counter with fill & stroke combine when i used transform, can you make more detail bout that? i click as well the stroke path btw
Thanks for a great tutorial. Quick question: the strokes on each of my letters are overlapping. For example, if I type the word 'groovy' as you did, the stroke around that "r" is spilling over onto the "o" next to it. I tried turning the letters into shapes and then a compound path, but doing this removed all the fill color and turned the whole thing into a blob:) Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
0:56, Hi, I wonder, does your FILL tab column is same as mine?. Fill column at Top, Stroke column at bottom... Maybe your problem is your Black Stroke column at Top... You can move that column, just hold left click and drag it move it at bottom...
Love your Video quick question how would you you make it transparent and just have the black outline? Tried just giving it no fill but it was completely black

Only problem with this background solid shadow is when you zoom you start seeing layers of shadows basis on the count, I want that to be very smooth .
is there another way to make effect like this and solve the layers, or someway to reduce that

@@xsandeex thank you so muchh!!!!
Does anyone know how to do a stroke/outline both arround the text and the shadow as if it's a 3d outline for the text to give it a 3d look?
can somebody explain why mine is the copies are exacly like the original (fill and stroke) while in the video the copies transform only the stroke?
So your problem is? can you elaborate more. Make sure you click Stroke column first then, you can apply transform effect...
Thank you! Very helpful
Thank you, this really helped me out!

It black because, the black stroke is behind it. To make it transparent is impossible.
Wonderful!
thank you!
Awesome and easy, thank you!
Thanks a lot ❤
thnks bro !
Thanks!
Thankyou bro
Excelent!
thanks
The copies turned out exactly the same like original with stroke and fill, not just the stroke like in the video.
I think, I should release a new video and compile all the problem other people encounter.
I think, before you use the effect transform, click the stroke tab first.
Thank you!
