Totally connect with wanting to get rid of everything and start over. It's a control thing for me.... when the world feels big and scary I want to control my space and feel "lighter"
I don't even have that much in my house, and I still feel like I could just get rid of everything. 😅 I'm sure you mentioned this in other videos, but... Since you're leaning into mood reading, if any of the challenge books just don't fit your mood and you DNF, could you cross them off the list _temporarily_ (for the sake of the challenge) and come back around to them later, potentially? I don't know if you'd consider that cheating, but you're always very honest in your approach to reading. Also, since you mentioned unhauling, I'd be curious to know if you've ever had any unhaul regrets. 😱
OKAY RIGHT?! It's just like so much stuff around me that I think has been adding to the clutter in my brain I think and Im hoping if I can clear it up itll help my mindset too!!! Thank you so much!
That wanting to get rid of everything and start over . . . I have that all of the time. My husband is on the opposite end and sees sentimental value in everything. We kind of make each other crazy in that regard. What ends up happening is that I'll sneak stuff out and take it to Goodwill. He never notices. Which validates my feelings. Haha!
YES Im glad to hear someone else relates to that feeling and its not just me, I swear it has been so strong lately. I have been getting rid of so much lately and trying to declutter surfaces, I just feel like clutter has been driving me nuts lately! I keep telling my husband not to let me ever buy anything ever again LOL
26 is so good and very doable! I am working on a similar project but it seems that my TBR is just destined to sit at around 65 books. I've read a ton from my collection this year, but I've got a lot of new books too
Im really pleased with getting down to 26, even though it still feels a bit daunting I know its come a long way since January so that gets me excited! I know JUST how you mean where you feel like youve been reading your collection but bringing in new things has been making that number stay up there. I swear im on a strict NO NEW BOOKS ban right now!
Im glad to hear someone else can relate to that feeling and its not just me!!! Thank you for sharing your journey! It's inspiring to see others working through their TBR lists. Best of luck with those 46 fiction books!
That is cute that you and your husband read to each other, I love that! The Child Thief has been on my TBR for years, it was moved to my This Book Will Self Destrct shelf, so I need to read it soon!
Its been really fun reading books aloud and getting my husband involved with this hobby! I hope you enjoy The Child Thief too and that we both get to it sooner rather than later!!! fingers crossed!
First, I like the music added to your videos lately. They add a nice ambiance. Second, and I've probably mentioned this before, if you like Buffy, you might like the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. It feels like an R rated Buffy series.
Thank you so much, Im glad you enjoyed! Ohh YES I know you did recommend the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series and I have it added to my list, Im interested in anything that is similar to Buffy haha!!!
You’re so close! I love these types of challenges

I totally get the desire to purge everything, I think it's good to freshen up your space and reset your mindset! Your makeup looks so good!

I want to purge and start somewhere new about twice a year. 😅
I’m also working through my physical TBR. I’m at 46 fiction books left.

I love buffy the vampire is the graphic novel a continuation of the season also the second and third season were the best
The Dark Horse comic series is a continuation of the series and deemed canon by Joss. Some of the other graphic novels are not.
I Love Buffy too!! Its such a great show! I just wish I enjoyed the book versions as much as the show but I know its hard to recreate that same magic!
Also there's this movie that's coming out called the substance Which I saw at the Toranto film festival I hope you check the movie out someday
Ohh Thank you for the recommendation I will keep an eye out for it!!!
As someone with hearing damage, please don't put music in the background. It is way to loud and makes it hard to hear you talking.
This is good to know, thank you!
Im sorry it was hard to hear, I tried to turn it to the lowest possible volume I could but Im sorry to hear it was still too loud!
