Blessings on the move, Leslie, and happy memories of this sanctuary you've created.

love the garden and thank you for sharing! FYI...my mosquito fogging service works perfectly here in Houston. They come once every 3 weeks from April - October and it takes care of the problem. Mosquitos LOVE me and will find me if I'm in another yard for 60 seconds...much like Stuart. I couldn't live outside and garden if I didn't have that service.

Such a wonderful garden. Great advice about mosquitos. I'm on the other side of the Potomac River in Maryland. The mosquito fogging companies are aggressively marketing in my neighborhood. Many of my neighbors use the services and some of the sales people try to shame me for not signing up. My garden is teeming with wildlife and I was pretty sure these services would kill more then mosquitos.

That was a real treat, thank you ladies! One of my favorite things is Leslie’s corkscrew willow in the pot on the patio! I have done this for several years now and if anybody is a willow lover, it is awesome to have them growing in pots in close proximity to where you hang out. I have a corkscrew on one side and a golden curls on the other and I love watching them just gently blow in the wind when I look out the window or am sitting on the patio. Then I cut a start and when the potted ones are getting too big, out in the yard they go and the new start will live for the next four or five years in the pot. Thank you for the tour of this stunning garden-you can feel her love for it as she talks about each specimen and how she’s nurtured it. Loved every minute! 💜 💜. And that grass spiral! How cool is THAT!?!😮

Corkscrew willow and especially scarlett curls willow make excellent potted trees. Take a cutting just before it leafs out stick in a pot of soil with no drainage holes and you got a tree. Of coarse dont let it get to full of water and later on in its life let it dry out from time to time. Tho its a no no the no drainage holes prevent you from having to be its water slave during summer plus its a willow it can handle it!

40:48 That looks like a Gatsby Gal Oakleaf Hydrangea. I’d like to know what’s the tree growing next to it with the big leaves? Is it a Paw Paw tree? Good luck on the move Leslie! I hope the right gardener will purchase your house and you find the perfect home for you and your family!

Hi! That is a Magnolia macrophylla-- cool leaves, right?

@@intothegardenwithleslie1832 Thank you! I would’ve never guessed it was a magnolia tree!
