@@CircuitsAndStrings I had 2 that were previously sent to me and then also bought 3 others. Four of them stayed at my last school. The one I use recently has stopped working correctly--but it did have a pretty hard fall on the ground. I was sent the new one for review, and so far so good--particularly the display! The old ones had displays that were not so great.
Your explanation left out a lot. For example, you said to push the mode button twice to make it a "drop D" but how do you tune the rest of them? And how do you get the low E to the pitch of C or what have you?
I sell 3 string guitars at craft shows. I have set up 10 to twenty guitars at the start of every show and during the show. Can the screen be seen in sunlight? Can I set the machine for 3 strings only GDg, or DAd, etc. Thanks Jim, Sentinel Guitars, Bozeman MT.
Seeing the display in the sunlight should not be a problem. The display is nice and bright. But it doesn’t not look like you can set custom tunings for a 3 stringer. Only for an 6 string guitar.
@@CircuitsAndStrings Thanks for your reply. I have sent a message to the Roadde web site without a reply. What if I set it to GDgGDg and just go around the 3 strings twice , which I normally would do any way.
@@CircuitsAndStrings They should have an updated version that also has Piano, & a Piano tuning adapter. What if tuning a Piano was just as easy as tuning any string instrument?
It's bigger and heavier than the Roadie; I have bought both. I like the "heft" of the Smart Tuner. I LOVE the Smart Tuner's auto mode...much better for a school setting. Also, the Roadie requires at least a button press every time you want to tune a ukulele; frustrating when you tune 40 at a time (school). The Roadie does have a great app and better customization features.
@@davidsheriff9274 The previous Roadie (I have no reason to buy the latest version) had a light that flashed; but they wanted you to have a profile for each separate instrument, which does not help me. The Jowoom has a side display that indicates pitch, but not a flashing light, like the Roadie. I don't even have to listen for the beep to occur as I'm tuning 40 ukuleles at school on a daily basis.
I'll be posting a review of this recent update soon, too!
Nice. Do you use one of these in your classrooms?

@@ukeplayalongs The Newer ones seem to work better
Had to buy one for my Uke`s thanks for the video
If that works that good all the time! I'm in lust!

I'm wondering if I should get this or wait for the Roadie 3 to go back in stop. You haven't tried using that have you? Thanks
I haven’t tried out a Roadie 3. What new functions and features does it have over the Roadie 2?
I need that! I hate tuning guitars manually!
me to even with a guitar tuner
Good idea.

The newer Roadie tuners might be able to do custom user programmed tunings.
Fascinating!
It is a very cool device.
Is it working with electric guitar without the amp?
Yes. The electric guitar does not have to plugged into an amp for this to work.
How well does it work with friction pegs?
If the friction tuners aren’t too tight, it should work fine.
what about a 7 string guitar?
Unfortunately I do not have a 7 string guitar to test it with.

I like it but would be worried, busking, somebody’d call the cops and say I have a gun
I have never thought about that. 😆
Make sure to only point it at the guitar knobs. 😏
Wonder how strong the motor is?. Cuz it takes some power to tune some tuning pegs.
It should work well unless the tuning machines are hard to turn by hand.
7 Sting ?
I don’t think it can do a 7 string guitar. 😕
did you buy in china?
It is made in China, but I bought it from the US amazon website.
@@CircuitsAndStrings Are there other models of this brand?
I think there is just one version now.
Looks like a torch lighter haha
