A magnificent set piece. Jan was just a voice on the end of the phone for so long, so the viewers were as intrigued as Angie to see what she was like. Powerhouse acting from Anita as Angie here - gabbling hysterically, sneering, civil, hostile...I love how lines were delivered to Roly as well.
The writing and acting are superb. I so wish they kept it to two episodes a week. There would have been half a chance that the quality could’ve been maintained. Great upload. 👍
Never mind Peggy as the queen of the Vic, Angie was above queen status, she was classy, elegant, always welcoming and a much better mother to Sharon than Peggy ever was to Phil, Grant and Samantha, the Watts are to Eastenders what the Ewings were to Dallas
I haven't watched EastEnders for prob 20 yrs. I loved the whole angie den storyline with lofty,Michelle,wicksie etc. We were all on Angie's side. I gave up East Enders when their Mitchell's came in. Totally unlovable thugs. Den was lovable even though you hated him!

EastEnders wanted to bring back Angie so many times over the years. They wanted to bring Angie back in 1994 for all the trouble with Sharon and Grant and there battle over The Queen Vic but Anita Dobson refused. Shame she’d have put pay to Peggy trying to get her claws in to The Vic. Ig they had enough of asking her to come back and relented and killed her off in 2002 but she died off screen we never actually saw her body so she could be brought back. If Sharon needed Angie more it be know more than ever Angie would be the only one to make Sharon see sense over her plot to kill Ian
What? Sharon wants to kill Ian? As in Ian bleedin Beale? Why? They went to school together and use to date when they were 16. I haven't watched Eastenders since circa 1999.
