Finally, a high quality in depth tutorial on multi-cam. Love it! Thank you
You’re welcome! Glad you found a video helpful! Thank you for watching!
I have watched DaVinci Resolve tutorial videos from many RUclipsrs. Your videos are by far the most easy to understand and follow. I am learning so much on how to use DaVinci Resolve for my videos from your tutorials. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
Awesome, thanks so much for the feedback! I’m happy to hear my videos are easy to understand and follow. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it! 👍😁
I've watched a LOT of DaVinci Resolve videos and this is one of the best I've ever seen. It's clear and properly explained, there's no timewasting intro, it's indexed, it's all I could want in a video of this sort. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you for your kind words! I appreciate it! I do my best to provide the most value possible in my vids. Thanks for watching!
Jason, thank you soooooo much! You explain just everything I wanted to know: using multiple cams, align using audio (I don't have timecoding equipment), color grading and using an external audio source (mic). Not just everything I wanted to know but also explained very clear and understandable for a beginner like me. Thank you again!
You’re welcome, that’s great! I’m happy to hear I was able to help you. Best of luck on your project and thank you for watching!
Jason, I have watched a couple videos on this topic from some well known RUclipsrs and Resolve instructors, and this is the first time it all makes sense to me. You do such a fantastic job of explaining things. Thank you!
You're welcome! 👍😁

How many cameras do you use for your multicam setup? 🎥 🎥 🎥 😁
@@JasonYadlovski I tried a 38 clip Multicam where I am always recording from at least one camera at all times over the course of 40minutes but it was a little much for my i7 1065g7 on my laptop... Great videos! Subscribed and you're making me want to start my channel. What skin are you using for resolve? I am using resolve default and its a lot different than yours.
🤷🏻♂️ sounds ok on my end. Not sure why it doesn’t sound right for you. 🤔 Thanks for watching!
@Gus Erland I don't know Gus, I'm not seeing it even at 1/4 speed. It still looks ok on my end. I appreciate you sharing your observations and thoughts. Best of luck with your videos!
@@JasonYadlovski Looks good to me as well. I joined youtube just so i could say that. ;)
This tutorial is the gold standard for Multicam work in Resolve. Belongs in the official BMD archive. If I've been away from Multicam work for a bit I review it every time before jumping in. It's just that good. Thanks Jason!
Awesome, thanks for your kind words! Doing my best to help people out. 😁👍
A very thorough tutorial on multicam editing. Especially your troubleshooting aspect of the video was very helpful. That you are aware of the possible occuring problems and solve them in advance for others is what makes you a very good content creator on these kind of tutorials. Most of the time people lose more time on solving problems than on the understanding of the subject itself.
Thanks! I do my best to help with common issues. I get hundreds of comments asking for help troubleshooting and it's often the same things people have problems with. Doing my best to help the community!
FINALLY a comprehensive explanation of multi cam
Thanks! Did my best to break it all down, hope this helps! Would love to hear your feedback after watching the video. 👍😁
Such a great video! The troubleshooting part is something that I miss in most tutorials! That's not only a tutorial for Multicam editing but for making tutorials themselves! Keep it up!
Awesome, thanks man! I appreciate you checking out the video! Glad you found it helpful! 👍😁
Four words Jason! You are the best! I came across your videos while searching for tips on how to edit multicam clips and I got hooked! You have energy and passion, and above all, you explain complex concepts with simplicity and clarity. Thank you!
You’re welcome! Welcome to my channel, it’s great to have you here! i’m happy to hear that you’re finding by videos helpful. 😁👍
Amazing tutorial! Doesn't only cover the basics but a few edge cases as well. Goes over different possible work flows rather than just your own preferred one, using both keyboard and mouse. Very well done!
Thanks so much for checking out the video! I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. Best of luck with your multicams! 😁👍
Most useful 30 minutes of my day! Thank you very much Jason, this content is just great.

Holy I feel like every single video you make helps me a lot, I’m getting a PC on Saturday and I’m going to be using this for my editing program. Love the videos thanks
Awesome! Glad you find the videos helpful. Good luck with the new PC. DaVinci Resolve is great and it can do so much. I learn something new almost every time I’m in it! 😁👍
This...is...amazing! I did the BM course and it took about 45 minutes. This gets to the point so much faster so it can be used as a resource to go back to when needed. Thank you!

Thanks SO much for this very complete tutorial. Davinci novice, but I've been editing video for over 30 years, and your explanation on multicam syncing and editing was excellent. You gained a subscriber today!
Awesome, you’re welcome! Thanks so much for the sub and I’m glad you found the information helpful! Thanks so much for checking out my channel!
I just want to thank you for making these fantastic tutorials! I'm new to DaVinci Resolve and pretty new to video editing in general. I've taken on the task of making videos of our high school marching band and incorporating drone footage together with ground footage. I think this particular video saved my sanity!
Yes! Multicam is a great way to sync up your footage and then just change angles by your watching back the video to show what you want to show. I hope it all works out well for you, thanks so much for watching!
I wish I could give you 100 likes! I've been going through so many DaVinci Resolve Multicam tutorials and yours was the only one that included all what if scenarios.
Awesome, glad my video covered everything for you! 😁👍
Best intro to multicam I've seen. Wish I'd found this video sooner.

This is great. I've recently started using Resolve after using FCP and Premiere for years. This was exactly the multicam tutorial I needed. Thanks!
Awesome, you’re welcome!
Jason, you went so fast through it all. But, that's what really helped. Please, keep up this style. I can ALWAYS scroll back on RUclips to slow things down to take notes. BIG thumbs up.

Thank you! Helpful. I made the switch to Resolve from FCPX, where multicam was pretty straight forward. Your tutorial was slow and thorough--I appreciate that. I'll refer back to this as I get used to multicam in Resolve.
Awesome, welcome to Resolve! It's an awesome program. Thanks for checking out the video! I've got lots of other videos if you need any more help. Thanks for watching!

Jason! THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH. This video is immensely helpful to me! I appreciate you!
You’re Welcome! Thanks so much for watching, glad the video is helpful! 😁👍
This video has been so useful for me over the past day or so - I'm just digging through old footage of a live gig I recorded with multi cam and I never got round to editing it. I have a live audio feed from the sound desk at the club and 3 cam angles - and this video has really perfectly explained how to match everything up and how to use it on the timeline. Downside for me was that all the 3 camera angles had issues where the camera was stopped and restarted, plus it was very loud and the mics on the camera were overloaded so could get a good auto match on audio, it was painstaking to match up, but it worked out well after watching this! Cheers!
Awesome! Glad you found this video helpful, pretty sweet that you got around to editing some old footage. 😁👍 thanks for watching!
@@JasonYadlovski Just subscribed too - yeah - the gig was in 2013! I've only recently got back into editing as a hobby and glad I've got some old footage lying around to play with... I picked up the Studio and Speed Editor deal too - which I'm really happy with! Once again, really appreciate your video! Cheers
Awesome, thanks for the sub! 😁👍
Absolutely Awesome Jason! Exactly what I needed. Love your work
You're welcome and thanks for checking out my videos! I appreciate it! Glad you find them helpful!
Great tutorial! Watched 20 mins and was off to combine three helmet cam footage together with ease. Last part of the tutoriam was about performance which I fortunately don't lack:) The flow in Resolve makes sense, but creating the multicam clip in the first place wouldn't have been easy with help. Thanks!
Awesome, hope your project worked out great!
Very detailed and helpful tutorial, thanks a lot!
You’re welcome!
OHMYGOD this is gold. I’m realizing how much time I’ve wasted but layering multiple angles and cutting/disabling the ones I’m not using 🤦🏻♂️ Thank you for this 🙌
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching the video! Glad you found the video helpful! 😁👍
Exactly how I have been doing things! I'll be moving to Resolve soon and this is going to be suuch a nicer way to edit! Cheers Jason
Awesome man, multicam is easy in Resolve as long as your computer can handle it. 👍
@@JasonYadlovski Currently it wouldn't handle it haha! But pc is also in the upgrade path.
Btw, I think you're great at judging the right amount of detail to go into and at predicting the kind of questions people will have.
I think at least 2 times during your video I found myself think "oh cool. hmm, I wonder how one would..." only to have your vid answer the question I was thinking within the next minute.
