Such a sweet bird, love his vocal sounds!
Amazing job at training after six months! You two make an awesome team! I’m so impressed!
I love your videos. We adopted a WCP about 4 months ago. She’s currently 21 months old. She’s awesome, with attitude. Keep up the videos!!
Do only makes make that laughing noise? I’ve never heard Luna do it. It’s super cute!
Its technically a baby begging noise but I turned it into a trick. Quaffle now does it every time he wants training
Your videos are so helpful! There’s not many in depth Pionus vlogs beyond a general look at the breed. Thank you!
I was actually worried that a pionus wouldn’t enjoy all of my attention as I’ve heard they’re very independent. 😂 I’m glad to see that’s not true
I'm hoping to go a lot more in depth, but I want my information to be as factual as possible, so doing more research and gaining more experience before making those kinds of videos
Awww what a little giggle box. Great update vid!
He’s so cuuuute. I’m atm researching on pionus, because i’m thinking of getting one in a few years (2-5)
I'm hoping to eventually turn this channel into an educational channel eventually, specifically for pionus and their specific care needs as they need different care to other parrots. Im still learning every day so don't want to start putting the information out there until I know its accurate x
@@PionusTales great! I really love pionus. Is he just really talkative or are the “my pionus never say a sound” people just liars? XD i mean, bird sound isn’t the biggest problem for me, but i thought to ask you just in case
@@vintereventyr_ it depends if he wants something. 90%of the time he's very very quiet and dies the cutest little whistles and squeaks. He only really gets noisy when trying to communicate with us. For example I want training, I want food, I want to go to bed, or if were in another room and he's checking we're still there
nice
Can't wait to get mine
Hope everything goes well 🙏
@@PionusTales got him yesterday and we are just chilling and he eats treats so we are taking it slow
Awwww he’s a cutie! One week ago I brought home a five month old blue headed pionus but he doesn’t like to come out of his cage, any suggestions?
Time and patience. They need to learn they can trust you. Pionus are quite timid so it can be harder to build a friendship. Try giving them nuts on a stick, or using a ruler etc, and over time make that ruler shorter until the nut is on your hand. They'll learn to associate you with food or treats and be more willing to come out. Be careful not to give them more than 4 nuts a day though as Pionus are sensitive to protein.
Would love if you made a video on what he eats! Is it mainly pellets?
She has veggie chop in the morning and pellets in the afternoon. But Currently trialling a dry mix. Once she's finished the trial I may do a food update
Hola. Precioso pionus
Cuantos año tiene???
Quaffle is almost 3 years old. My age doesn't matter
Does your pionus smell like honey also ? my blue headed one smells intensely like honey =)
That's fascinating!
No more of a deep musk, but a nice musk
What food mix/recipe are you feeding him?
So in the morning quaffle has a fresh and dried veg chop mix with sprouted seeds as a topping, and in the evening has some origins wild diet pellets. She was originally on Harrisons fine pellets but they were to high in protein and causing her to be constantly hormonal
