this is a great lesson; i don' know anything about sofware or hardware but am applying your principles of defense and safety to psychology
hmm, I never cover my camera. Like never, at all. I'm using Linux only and perfectly know when and how it is used. Covering camera it's admitting that your security sucks, if you're worrying about hijacking the camera, do something with your OS which is just shitty, if it allows the hacker to use your camera.

@@heribertojuarez6046 use f***g Linux. Nothing is "undetectable" there. I'm opening pdf and word documents using Google Chrome. Google Docs and/or OnlyOffice on my server (another webapp) and you can't infect nothing using platform based on Javascript entirely.
It's not arrogance, arrogance is covering camera, admitting that you're not in control of your OS and allowing hacker to read keystrokes, do screenshots and listen to microphone instead.
What about microphone, do you cover it too?
So please tell me - what are you doing regarding microphone? Or keystrokes? Because if you don't trust your webcam - how can you trust doing literally anything on that computer?
