    1. Betchworth Level Crossing, Surrey
    2. Whyteleafe Level Crossing, Surrey
    3. Gillingham Level Crossing, Kent
    4. Blythe Bridge Level Crossing, Staffordshire
    5. Caverswall Level Crossing, Staffordshire
    6. Stallington Road Level Crossing, Staffordshire
    Thanks For Watching!

    Stallington LC sounds like an Irish instrument you often hear in Celtic themed compositions.

    I remember as a child in the mid 70’s and the 80’s we had a level crossing @ BRIDGE STREET NORTHAMPTON, when the yellow light came on, it was a bell that rang, and the border around the lights was plain white rather than red and white, the crossing is still there, but it’s gone into disarray, it was part of the NORTHAMPTON to BEDFORD line, cut by the Beaching the Butcher.

    Blythe Bridge is like the ambience in a horror game just before the monster gets you.
    Also Caverswall Road is like your computer failing

  • @WMRailSpotter

    If you put an E2S alarm on 2x it sounds like the fast alarm you would get on an AHBCL crossing

    I have always wondered why the barriers go down two at a time and all four go up in one go.Whyteleafe also features in Enid Blyton's Naughtiest Girl books.

    to make it full speed, just hold shift and hit > on your keyboard 3 times. but it wont change the tone of the alarms, no

  • @developerdonut2592
    @developerdonut2592 7 лет назад +2

    Maybe a slo-mo so your camera is on a tripod past the barriers by the track (on the grass) to watch the barriers go down and the train go past as if you were standing on the grass.

    speed it up to 2x and its normal

    the barriers lowering at Betchworth & Whytleafe is the same speed that 3rd Generation GWE barriers lower in real life.

    The first level crossing sounded a little funnny, perhaps all of them did!

    • @UKLevelCrossingsChannel
      @UKLevelCrossingsChannel  6 лет назад

      Lol, I might do another video of this. Most of the alarms sound really flat-tone.

    • @somebodyrandom809
      @somebodyrandom809 6 лет назад

      What do you mean by 'flat-tone'?

    • @UKLevelCrossingsChannel
      @UKLevelCrossingsChannel  6 лет назад

      What I really meant was 'low-tone'. The alarms in this video have very low and flat sounds, if you know what I mean :)

    • @somebodyrandom809
      @somebodyrandom809 6 лет назад

      OK, I understand. The Stallington level crossing's alarm sounds like a fire engine! Most of all, in 2016, I didn't hear of your channel.

    How come some level crossing lights have dark rings in them unlike more traditional traffic lights. Modern level crossing lights now seem to be the dot matrix type.

    • @UKLevelCrossingsChannel
      @UKLevelCrossingsChannel  6 лет назад

      There's different styles of road traffic signals at level crossings. The ones seen at 1:55 are Halogen type and the ones seen at 1:04 are LED type. Network Rail are replacing the Halogen Type signals at any UK Mainline Railway Crossings which still have them.

    • @nigelkthomas9501
      @nigelkthomas9501 6 лет назад

      UK Railway Hub It's the halogen ones that have the dark rings in them then. I'd just like to know what they look like inside, if you removed the colour cover. What is that dark ring?

      To entertain people. I thought it might be interesting seeing level crossings in slow-motion since not many others produce videos like this. If you don't like it, that's fine.
