At Kalimba Magic, each kalimba we sell is a kalimba I would be happy to play. Here are the six different models we sell set up as 17/C Kalimbas. www.kalimbamag...
So very helpful. I thought I knew what I wanted, but this video changed my mind. I’m a long time Array m’bira player, but can’t wait to order my first Kalimba from you! Thanks for taking the time to make this excellent video!
Great comparison. I love how side by side you can hear really hear the different tonal qualities. I bought the heart and the magadi from you and they are both special and different in their own way !! (And I love my three Sansula and Olive kalimbas I bought from you too!! You are the best!!!
I'll check your website, Mark H. I've purchased Hokema and I feel like purchasing another brand for my collection (one brand at a time). Verrry nice presentation 👏
Comment #1! Great upload once again Mark! You really shouldn't do that right now... your Middle Eastern tuning video pushed me over the edge, and last night I downloaded the e-book to start working on. Problem is now I have to think about another 17- key one that I can put into that tuning and leave it there! 😲😳 Seriously, this is helpful -- thanks again!
I understand the desire of wanting a dedicated instrument for a tuning... but it takes about 5 minutes or less to accomplish the middle eastern tuning. You can go back and forth... until you really need a dedicated instrument for a particular tuning
@@kalimbamagic Thanks Mark, just need to take my hammer around with me. Much of my practice/playing time is in the car while I wait for my [severely vision-impaired, unable-to-drive] husband. I can keep a hammer in the car -- have hammer, will travel! You're smart -- helping me save for an alto! ;-)

Mark, I was so grateful to see this. Very helpful! Thank you, Linda
I bought mine in Grahamstown in about 1991

thanks for the brands review
These are not just brands that I review. These are instruments that I own, play, and love enough to buy in bulk and sell to the rest of the world.
