    It's great to hear your story! I donated my kidney recently, anonymously, and I've been thinking about the recipient a lot and wondering what life is like for them now. I know the surgery was tougher for them than it was for me and it's not a perfect solution, but still I hope my kidney will improve their life for many years to come. I hope they're doing well. I hope you're doing well! :)

      You are a hero Ben, never forget that. You make their life much better since the minute they knew they were going to be given the gift of life. That second chance that unfortunately no many people get. But he or she did because of your kindness. I am sure they will always be grateful to you even though they don’t know you.
      I hope recovery is going good for you. I am doing amazing! I am happy and infinitely thankful with my donor. ❤️
      Take care, you are a beautiful person.

    Im on my 2nd month today after being on dialysis 8 years!!!! I laid on my back too , and still do right now i actually like it now LOL. the transplant was my first surgery ever in life so i wasn't anticipating the pain. I still feel numbness even after 2 months but no pain. Im bloated too and my incision is at the same place. I still retain some fluid so im taking lasik water pills, but i urinate regularly and my labs are great. I already started walking 2 to 4 miles 3 times a week because i DO NOT want to gain weight but unfortunately i have and i think its the prednisone I take .5 mg too only. I had gained weight on dialysis prior to transplant . I was working it off but 4 weeks later after being on the transplant list I was called to get a transplant. I did feel smaller while on dialysis but it could be because i ALWAYS told them to challenge my weight which made me smaller than i am. Im taking it one day at a time now. Thank you for sharing your story!!

    When you’re comfortable, give yoga another try. It may help with the bloating. I’ve been doing it daily for a couple years and really notice how much stronger and more flexible I am. Love your videos! ❤️

    Do you have to take blood pressure pills? And if you do which ones if you don’t mind me asking? I’m gonna be getting one soon and I’m trying to see other people’s experience to calm my anxious questions and thoughts lol

    Well can I have a drink with my friends with my kidney transplant ?

    • @wendycopeland2.0
      @wendycopeland2.0  2 года назад

      That’s a better question for your doctor
      because it all depends on how your labs look and how far post transplant you are. I am just a bit more than a year post. I literally only have one drink during a concert a month ago. I do my best to stay hydrated and I doubt that one drink affected me. On my opinion, combine your doctors opinion and común sense. You will be ok!

      .my stomach after 6yrs is junk! Recently had a 10 day hospital stay and was treated for a possible stomach infection. They stopped myco for 30 days and and felt much better unfortunately must restart tomorrow. Not looking forward to it but it's a necessary evil so I'll live with it. Better than the alternative.

    • @wendycopeland2.0

      @@scottrose7728 I am so sorry to heard that. Mycophenolate was not a good fit for me either. They changed ti Imuran and it has make all the difference. Have they mentioned an alternative to mycophenolate?
