// WELCOME //
New here?? I would love to get to know you better!
I'll go first:
I'm Kaela, a Homeschool Graduate turned Homeschool Momma. My husband & I have 3 girls.
We are a Latino family, living our best life in a little 1930s fixer-upper in Texas.
Although we are a family of faith, we typically stick to secular resources in our homeschool.
I love homeschooling, pretty books, dance breaks, and turning my humble abode into a home.
Oh, and a lot of coffee!
I hope you'll stay awhile 🧡

Thank you so much for this. I have never came across a homeschool video with so much detail & so perfectly explained.
Glad it was helpful!
This was so helpful!!
The state of Colorado is 172 days, 4 hours a day
I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to make this video! I’m not great at big picture planning, so this has given me a lot to work with and consider! I’ve never thought about the many different scheduling options you laid out beyond the most common ones. I definitely think we could benefit from exploring some of the others you shared! I’m also really hoping to get to step 3 this year. I love how much you’ve woven into your content areas and hope to find ways to do the same! 💛
Thank you so much for this feedback, it means a lot 🧡🩷
I love how you summarized your main themes for each month! Such a great way to see your year in a big picture way.
It's been a game changer for me! It really helps me to tie lessons and units across subjects and curricula together more cohesively
Thanks for explaining the scheduling. Waiting for my planner so I can be more organized.
We take weekends off and whenever we are sick. Otherwise always learning 🥰
Awesome tips!! I’m still trying to decide how I want to schedule this year you’ve given me lots to think about!
Glad it was helpful 😊
Ticking off 15 days per month year-round (5 hours a day) seems like a low-stress, high accountability method for our family. It allows for flexibility but encourages life-long learning as a part of a consistent routine.
That's a great idea!
We homeschool year-round, summer schedule being lighter, starting midAugust.
But!!!! We take days off as we need: kids’ competitions, family half-week vacations, rough days, playdates days you name it.
But!!! I count attendance (just in case) and we always finish 180 days before the middle of May
Love that! It works great for lots of families!
