Seems like a nice place. St. Petersburg may have been a planned city and not built in an ideal place but it really ended up working well as a major world city. Peter the Great was a known Hollandophile, he not only based his city on Amsterdam, but the beautiful Russian flag was also inspired by the Dutch one. I am interested in the Slavs and Eastern Europeans, as while they are not perfect they appear more culturally authentic than Europeans. In one way I envy you Endeavour, and like modern Russia. But Russia sadly has many problems with abortion, alcoholism, HIV, suicide, crime, at least some Soviet reverence and revanchism, etc. A century ago the brackets destroyed what could have been a beautiful, advanced, developed and leading country of the world, Russia before WW1 definitely had problems but it was slowly and steadily growing, improving, and becoming stronger technologically and culturally, was approaching the level of it's European peers and the people were inculcated with Christian values, families were large. Nicholas II was a good and capable leader, but his tragic decision to bring his country into the tragic and disastrous Great War just because the Serbs who were arguably in the wrong were fellow Slavs ultimately had fatal consequences for his nation and empire, may God bless his soul. It opened the door for the brackets and their accomplices to destroy his country and institute a 72 year Evil Empire, that Russia today is far from fully recovering from. They experienced cultural deconstruction before we did, albeit in a different manner. And the same brackets who did it there are doing it here, in the rest of the West, with accomplices without whom, as a minority, they could not succeed using policies and ideologies that, while different, are part of the same family as the one they did there. They have gained so much ground, so much successes, and have so much of the world in their grasp, are behind so many evil agendas, May God and His son Jesus have mercy on us all. That’s the legacy of the Soviet Union and communism. In the next 50-100 years Europe
will be in a horrific state and it will be irreversible unlike communism.
@@raskolnikov6443 Anything is reversibile, and I think it will actually be very similar. The soviet union has tried a lot of globohomo ideas in a other manner and with less gay. That's why Bukowski famously said "I've lived in your future and it didn't work" or "Russia is just the west in 70 years".
It’s different when you consider a substantial percent of the population live in the largest cities
"Any other" is too broad. Kazan is on level of Moscow/SPB, for instance.
